Massive stall! Grrr! Frustrating!
Mrs. Vee replied to pancake1271's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well it's been a while since I've communicated. Sorry, but life issues taken presidence. I've been caring for my hubby who fell out of bed one morning having a seizure. It's been tough but God is good and we are taking it a day at a time. He had 4 total by the time the ambulance got to the hospital. I'm eating but can't eat much. I fight to stay away from the sweet and fatty stuff but I must be doing pretty good because I'm still losing. I have to admit I'm kinda of tired of the shakes. They taste good and I've added fruit and a raw egg. I try to have at least 1 a day. Now I'm thinking about buying the T25 workout video, not sure when I can do it yet with my knee accident but I want to have it. I drink ISO 100 it's like a shake but I've never been big on shakes is the issue. I've missed you all and hopefully I'm back at least 1-2 times a week. Be blessed and keep losing! -

December 29, 2014 sleevers
Mrs. Vee replied to Mrs. Vee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello ladybug, hope your ok today. I must say, yesterday was one of the toughest days for me. Today I'm starting softy foods, have you started? Since the paperwork says cream of wheat and malt-o-meal and I hate those but love grits, I'm starting with that. I also tried something last night that might interest you. I put herbal formula pain spray around the dent in my side and I woke this morning with less pain in getting up on my own and less pain in movement. I think a cream would wok also, you know one of those arthritis creams you just have to be careful not to get it on your wound, I used a cotton ball. I had coffee, Greek yogurt, watery grape juice and water throughout the morning. Lunch is the grits, dinner the protein shake and before bed another protein shake. Just info I thought might be interesting to you. -

Ok, I will try that. I have big boobs and tried to put a bra on last night, it helped but then I started feeling constricted and had to take it off. -

Well hello fellow sleevers. Hope you all are blessed and well. My current status is that I am doing better each day, but I need to get back to work Monday. My biggest issue is this dent in my side. I feel that if it were not for that I would be so much better. Doc says it will expand or pop in about 2 weeks. Said it will feel like someone stuck a knife in me, that's scary. Still walking bent over, still having hard time getting up from sitting or laying down. Can anyone give me more insight to the "POP" and tell me how your doing so I can make sure I'm at the right stage for this heeling process. -
Surgery completed yesterday, check. While sitting in recovery I asked the nurse if doc did a tummy tuck or something she said no I don't think so. I asked because it felt like my left side was caved in and I could fell my bones, or ribs or something. Anyway, I got home late last night and looked at my stomach with my sissy pooh and I think we booth got a little scared. It's quite sunk in where I guess he pulled the stomach out. But I think it will be ok. Right now I'm ddealing with a bit of the gas and trying walk and do my breathing treatments is the focus.
