I hit my goal 5 months ago but I know that I have gained and lost the same 5 pounds about 10 times so far. Every time I see that 5 pounds come back, I get scared and nervous. I know that I still retain some of my bad habits that I started with prior to surgery. Like not exercising a little every day or at all. Also, I still eat crappy food. I understand to be a little happy, I need to eat what I like but when it's every day and I'm still eating sugar and fatty foods, that's where I need to improve. I've thought about this long and hard and I almost feel like because I had surgery, I almost gave myself a free pass to eat horrible and not exercise. I think it was said in a comment above; now the hard work comes into play. I know everyone struggling is never alone. We all have been on this journey and there will be ups and downs but how we handle these hurdles is what will determine if we succeed or not. Remember; if you fall off the wagon...get back on. If you see the scale creep up, think what I am doing wrong. What can I improve...what am I doing that is good. Be super honest with yourself. Another thing is that we are human and will make mistakes along the way. Try not to be down on yourself. Just pick yourself up and go again. Yes, I'm totally trying to take my own advice on the exercise front...man I wish they had a mind treatment that would cure me not liking exercise. Keep up all the good work everyone and hang in there!

The Last picture is a little old (from September) but I'm only 3 lbs away from my goal. I'm in a size 11. I'm really happy where I'm at and wouldn't care if I lost the last 3 lbs! Very proud of all of us. Way to go!

Are you thinking the last 20 will be the hardest?
-
I have lost 71 lbs so far and have about 22 lbs more to go! Yay!!! Happy dance! A friend of mine said the last 20 lbs was the hardest for her. I'm thinking she may be right! What do you guys think? Is anyone within 20 lbs of their goal?

Hi everyone! So nice to see everyone's progress. I had surgery on March 24th and I'm down 68 lbs. Yay. I'm too need to start exercising! That's a big hurdle for me! I feel so much better. I can't believe how much easier it is to move around. So very happy! I think I have about 20 more pounds to lose and then I'll see how I feel about where I'm at. Question for you guys. Do you have anything you can't eat? For me, it's scones. So strange! It feels like a rock in my belly and then my stomach is cranky for days afterwards. Like everything I eat makes me feel bad...almost a little nauseous. Just wondering if you guys suffer from the same thing.

My hair is falling out and clogging the drain. I struggle getting in enough protein also. I'm so happy to say that I'm down 62 pounds since this journey started. My surgery was on March 24th. I'm struggling with craving sweets every night after dinner. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

You better add me to that same list. I'm stalled too. I was stuck at 219 for a few weeks and I only recently lost 2 lbs but, they were in 2 different weeks. I'm hoping the scale will move again for all of us. From what I have read, it sounds like a common problem.

I hear ya sister. My poor hubby didn't know what to say to make it better. We can only hope that it gets better soon. I hope the nurse has some answers for you!

For me, I can eat thinned yogurt and cream or tomato Soup. I have a hard time with shakes. I'm not sure if I drank to many before surgery and I'm just having a hard time getting them down. Everything makes me cramp. I hope your pouch starts feeling better soon! I broke down and cried like a baby the other day. I think I'm just tired of feeling bad...ya know? !

I hear ya on this one! I have one cranky sleeve. I take super small sips and bites and it still cramps up. I really want to feel better!

Hi, I had gained 8 of the 20 pounds I had lost pre-surgery after getting out of the hospital. I lost those 8 pounds in two days. This morning on the scale, I had lost 5 post surgery pounds. No worries, it will come off! ????

Hi @@Bonawanabfree I called my doctors office and they said it is my stomach having a spasm when I put anything into it. They said it will go away and just to eat very small bites and drink very small sips. I felt like I was doing that already so I made them even smaller. Lol. I hope this goes away soon. Thanks for the much appreciated help.

Hi everyone, my surgery went great. I've been having gas pains though. I'm hoping they will go away soon! Did anyone get pains from just putting anything in their new stomach? Any time I drink or eat, my stomach cramps up and then I'm burping. If you went through this, please let me know how you got past this. Pretty uncomfortable. Thanks for any help you can give.

Good luck to you too! ????

Surgery today and oddly enough, I'm not nervous. I'm excited about the possibilities that are on the horizon. In a few short hours, I'll be an official sleever! Wish me good luck!

The hospital told me to only brush my teeth and take my meds with a sip of water...nothing else for 12 hrs before surgery. No gum, mints or anything the morning of. If I did have any of that, it would delay or cancel my surgery.
