Had surgery Feb 9th. 1. I'm feeling fantastic! No pain! Haven't taken any pain meds since the hospital. Only issue I had was the bariatric Vitamins caused me to break out in red spots, but they're gone now. 2. I get in 46g of Protein and Prob about 30oz of Water, but if you include broths etc Prob about 50oz. 3. Had my first preop diet yesterday and it went awesome! I start puréed stage on Monday! Incisions look good and he's happy with my weight loss! 4. I'll be moving to puréed on Monday! 5. No buyers remorse! Love my sleeve! 6. Down 25.7 since the preop diet.

I feel the same way. Had my surgery on the 9th and i feel like if I start adding more liquid etc to my diet I'm gonna gain and it freaks me out. I am losing though so it's all good

So sorry for what you went through. See if you can do an at home sleep study. Most insurances will approve that before they approve an in hospital one because it's cheaper.

Horizon nj health is Medicaid and direct access can be either a pos or PPo it just means you don't need a referral

The anesthesiologist said if you have no temp and it's not in your lungs they'll do surgery.

I am a week post op and I have red spots on my arms and upper thighs. They're not raised and they don't itch. I called the surgical coordinator and she doesn't think it's anything but she did put out a call to the dr. Has anyone else developed this?

I've never even taken my pain meds since I've been home...bleh no fever which is fantastic! Still have the spots though

My co-worker had surgery by Dr. Ewing from that practice and did not have a pre-op diet.

Maybe you need a gastro consult to get an EGD

Some insurances don't count weight watchers as a supervised diet

I believe it is required as they want to make sure you don't have ulcers, gastritis, h pylori, etc. also, if they find you have a hiatal hernia during the EGD is can be fixed during surgery.

PCOS is insulin resistance and can mimic diabetes. Don't freak out just wait to see the results. It'll be ok

I am on my last day of the liquid diet. Surgery is tomorrow. I would watch people at work eat lunch and wonder if that really tastes as good as it looks. I would also imagine how good it must taste, but I pushed through and haven't cheated. I am actually proud of myself for getting through the pre-op diet. I'm down 13.5lbs
