    I can't wear a bra!

I definitely had that problem for the first month post op but now at 2.5 months out I can wear one
  2. If you overeat with the sleeve you will feel it in your chest and it is very uncomfortable. If you really overeat, you will throw up. I was sleeved Nov 26 and have thrown up twice. Now, I know how much I can eat so I don't have the discomfort anymore. You will learn that. With the sleeve, they remove the part of your stomach that has the hunger hormone so most people are not hungry anymore either. You will still have head hunger and some gurgles in your sleeve which will sometimes be hunger but you will definitely be able to control your eating. Nothing you do with wls is easy, but you will definitely feel your restriction and modify the way you eat. Best of luck to you.????

    Not feeling rushed.....I feel "Ready"!

I was scheduled for dec 8 but the surgeon called and asked if I would like to move up the November 26 and I said sure. Even though it was the day before thanksgiving and I had to start my 2 wk liquid pre diet the very next day after they called me, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I just wanted to get to the sleeved side and the sooner, the better! Smiles to you for your Monday surgery! Your friend will get over it.

    Bladder Leekage

I'm 2.5 months out and my leakage has improved a bit. I definitely don't get up at night much anymore and I haven't had any significant leakage like I used to get. I think as I lose more weight it will continue to improve as well.
  5. I've been on protonix 40mg twice a day since I was sleeved and I also have a couple tums before bed just to keep the reflux from happening at night. I'm now 2.5 months out
  6. Try eggs, yogurt, green beans, and some other veggies. I feel your pain. I'm 2.5 months out and craving pizza. I'm sick of the protein as well. Hang in there.

    Hungry

Drink more of your protein and see if that can fill you.

    How do you explain?

This is your life, your health, and your decision. You should make the decision to have surgery on what you want. Your friends and family will get onboard with it eventually. I turned 60 last May and made the decision to have surgery for me and my health. Many people tried to dissuade me and especially when I started losing weight as I was preparing for surgery, but I just told them that losing weight wasn't the problem. Keeping it off was and the surgery gave me the best option for keeping the weight off. It's not about them. It's about you. I was sleeved November 26 and I have no regrets and my family and friends are supportive and respect my decision now. No more negativity. Make this decision for you!
  9. It's perfectly normal to feel like you do. You have come so far and you will get to the other side soon. The liquid only 2 wk is going to be ok. Just stay hydrated and change it up a bit. Sf Popsicles, sf jello, broths, ice tea, water. After a few days it gets much easier. Hang in there. You can do this!!!!!!
  10. I'm 8 weeks out and have had those problems since the beginning. I take milk of magnesia everyday about a half dose and go every other day usually. I take 40 mg of protonix twice a day and I still have reflux 2 x wk so I now will take tums before bed as well. You will figure it out. You probably need to increase you heartburn meds and take some other stool softener. Happy pooping!!

    Exercise curiosity

I'm 2 months post and I have a personal trainer 2 x wk and on 2 other days I just get on a treadmill and walk for 30 minutes or I'll change it up by doing an elliptical bike for 30 min. I think it helps. Your Zumba class should be giving you a good bit of cardio. Just try to do 30 minutes of cardio per day on average. I admit that I don't get that everyday, but I lost 16 lbs last month so I must be doing something right, at least last month. We'll see what happens next month. Hang in there. Maybe add another Zumba class per week.

    Protein supplements and calcium citrate

@@Sandy, your story is similar to mine. I turned 60 last May and was 311 lbs. decided to do something about it and was sleeved November 26. I can't get much in either. I like the chocolate premier protein from Costco. They have 30g of protein in 11 oz. I drink 2 per day. The calcium citrate I use is opurity chewables. They taste ok to me. I can only eat 1 egg at a time. One baby bel cheese and 1/3c of yogurt is another meal. I am always under 500 cal per day. My doc says he doesn't care the quantity but to make sure I get 70g protein per day and under 30g carbs per day. Enjoy the weight loss now because it will slow more as we get more in out new tummy. My water is only about 32 oz per day. Best of luck to you!
  14. My protein drinks are 160. I use them as a meal and I feel full. I'm 6 weeks out from surgery. If I eat an egg and baby bel cheese mini I am full but calories are only 120. So calories depend on consistency of food your eating. At 6 wks out, I still can only get in around 475 calories per day

Biotin how much are you taking

I started with 5000 and recently increased to 10000 after noticing many people taking 10000.

    Question in regards to recovery.

I'm 6 wks out and only eating 1 egg and a baby bel mini cheese. I still burp all the time and gurgle constantly, esp after eating or drinking. At 2 wks post op I was still on liquids only. At 4 wks I could start on eggs, fish , soft cheese. Next week I get to add chicken and cooked veggies. Your new tummy needs to heal so let it and in a few months you will be able to take more in. Welcome to the club!

    HELP! Stomach Acid!

Just had that 1 wk ago. I figured it was some ice tea I had just before bed. I now stop drinking tea about 3 hrs before bed. I also take 40 mg of protonix in the am and pm. You may need to increase the dose of your reflux meds. I feel your pain . I absolutely hate middle of the night reflux. Yuck.

    Leak Test

Just hold your nose and drink it down. I didn't taste a thing and it was down no problem. You'll be fine
  22. I'm 6 weeks out and only get in about 400 cal per day. I have 2 premier protein shakes as well, but I can only eat 1 egg and maybe a baby bel mini cheese and 1/3 cup of Greek yogurt for the day. I just feel too full for anymore. I figure as time goes on, I'll be able to consume more. My doc is not really concerned about my calories at this point. He just wants to make sure I'm at 65g protein and staying under 30g carbs.

    Need this scale to MOVE!

I'm only 6 weeks out but I don't own a scale and it makes my life much easier. I go to my post op appts and always have lost from the prior one. I think you can really get bummed out if you weigh yourself too much. Hang in there and the weight will come off. Just keep following the meal plan and you will lose weight!!
