Band Aid mom

I like that B-52! It is something to put in my back pocket and remember along the way. I haven't started the full journey yet, but getting close. Thanks for your insight! This was just what I needed to hear/see this morning. I'm going to love these forums- soooooo much support :-)

@@pink dahlia I am oh so happy that he is there for me instead of fighting me on this. I just told him it might be better if he let me see/feel the difference in his body instead of spouting off numbers. Guess what, he was VERY HAPPY to accommodate LOL! @sharon1964- you are soooo right. Things really changed with my body after my two girls were born 25/26 years ago and I'm looking to reclaim it now! It will just take a little more time. P.S. They were soooooo worth it!

Yes, I will definitely post our progress! We are so ready to get this party started!! @PSRS520- how are you doing with your pre-op diet and jitters? I will have you in my thoughts this week as you cross into band-land. So jealous :-) Good luck and keep your eye on the prize!

** I meant POST-surgery- I have a ton of pre-surgery experience LOL! Jitters, emotions and all :-) I totally get where you are coming from (times 3 since I have myself and my two others to worry for, because that's what moms do LOL)!**

Both my daughters and I are scheduled to be banded on 2/12/15. Unfortunately I don't have any pre-surgery experience or advice, but if you need companions to travel the road with you, we will be there shortly and happy to provide support along the way!

Exercising is one of the things I'm really looking forward to, ironically. It is probably the only thing through the years that has kept me from being heavier than I am. I just don't have the endurance I used to and I am looking forward to getting back into it full swing. The appetite monster is what I'm looking to lose!! I am so ready for this journey! It looks like there is such success with the band if you are willing to follow the rules, and we are all in!! I am also really glad I found this site as it is such a wonderful resource. @@lisacaron, I am trying to get everything in order so my husband only has to tell us it will all be ok in a few days. He really is being a good sport about everything though, so I'm not too worried. B-52, you are so right! But money always finds someplace to go though LOL. It will probably be a trade-off from grocery bill to wardrobes, but I am OK with that :-) Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
