hey ladies, How much weight have you or did you gain during your pregnancy? For those who have already delivered did it come off pretty fast?
-
I'm 31 weeks and measuring a little ahead. Up 7lbs since I started. I am able to eat a lot more but have made it a point to keep exercising. Glad to hear people got their restriction back after delivery. Plan on breastfeeding so I hope that will go well. Congrats to everyone!

Almost 3 Months Post-op and Surprise...

Congrats ladies! -
I'm just shy of the third trimester and have found that I am starting to wind down. I'm tired and haven't been sleeping well due to this lovely insomnia. My stomach is starting to get bigger and I just feel sluggish. I have a feeling I'm going to miss second trimester lol. How are all you moms doing out there?

Showing during pregnancy
Banana14 replied to Crystal Hobbs's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I haven't told my surgeon I am pregnant. I have an OB that has extensive experience with weight loss surgery pregnancy patients so I have followed her directions. I am scheduled for my follow up next month with my surgeon and will communicate to them at that time that I am pregnant and will follow up after the birth of my baby. That's just the way I chose to go. You do whatever is best for you. I am confident after the birth of my son that I will be able to continue the rest of my weight loss journey. -
nothing healthy is tasting good these days :-( Anyone else feeling this way?

Showing during pregnancy
Banana14 replied to Crystal Hobbs's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I am 24 weeks right now and started showing at about 20 weeks. I'm up four pounds from when I first found out I was pregnant. I've just remained vigilant about what I'm eating and exercising and taking my vitamins. I got pregnant at 6 months post op as well. Congrats to you on your pregnancy and keep us posted! -
7 mo post op & pregnant
Banana14 replied to determinedmomma12's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Hi there! I don't think it's realistic to hope you won't gain any weight. I got pregnant 6 months post op and I've gained five pounds. I have been pretty vigilant about what I've been eating and exercise. I know once baby gets here i will be able to focus again on the goal as I have another 30-40 pounds I would like to lose. Congrats on your pregnancy!!! -
So far I've been doing well. I'm 23 weeks and up 5lbs. Better than I hoped! I can tell you my appetite has increased and that like cibaogirl29 I can eat a whole bagel with cream cheese (barely). I eat 5-6 small meals during the day and get about 8 hours of sleep most nights. How is everyone else doing?

We started trying at 5 months post op and the next month I was pregnant. At that point I had lost 110lbs! I've been lucky so far with no issues and baby is growing right on schedule. Good luck to you if you decide to go for it!

I used the mirena IUD. Worked great for me. Took it out and 6 weeks later I was pregnant.

Congrats silkylady! -
let me preface this by saying this is my first baby and you all will probably be hearing from me a lot. I was just wondering if you guys modified your daily diets at all or just stuck to the usual high protein, low carb? My goal is not to gain a lot of weight. Im still feeling awesome and very happy I'm just not in the mood to eat eggs or meat anymore. Thoughts? Let me know what you guys are doing!

I'm glad you have a supportive team to help you out! I'm dreading telling my doc...I feel like she's not going to be happy but oh well. You're doing great with your weight loss...I lost part of mine before surgery so more like 70+ pounds in 6 months. Keep in touch ...I'd like to know how everything is going with you since we are both December moms! -

Congrats to all the preggos! I am 6 months post op and down 107lbs. My husband and I decided to try and got lucky pretty quick. I found out before I even missed my period which was surpring but I just had a feeling. Best of luck to you all! -
So I took a pregnancy test today thinking it would be negative and it gave me a faint positive! The hubs and I are trying but I also used a cheapo generic test from Walmart. I then read they have huge false positive and evap results. I'm hoping in my case this is in fact a positive test result! Guess I'll know for sure in a few days. Fingers crossed ladies...I'm down 106lbs!!!!

Rachelle thank you for your response! It gives me hope to hear that!
