Be honest - does anyone regret the surgery?
katmaar replied to TvlGrl712's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
There are many days that I do regret my surgery, but I realize that it is from personal issues that were not dealt with prior. Any complications I have from the surgery are absolutely minor. The only reason I sometimes regret it is because of my own emotional state, not because of my actually surgery! Wouldn't change anything! -
Thank you both. I honestly feel it is hunger but I haven't been hungry ins I long, I'm never sure.

Hey guys, I get hungry every 2 hours or so, I'm 3 weeks out of surgery and on puréed foods. I feel like I'm eating so much, even though I'm probably not. I'm scared I'm going to gain weight simply from being hungry, and eating. I'm not eating a ton of food, but compared to what I have been eating (all liquids, no hunger), this hungry feeling is terrible and I feel like a fatass. Has this happened to you? Please help! Any guidance would be great.

Yes I have. I have been given very vague instructions on the puréed section. I know everything about protein and fluids, that's a given... But I'm moving on to eating. I just feel like no one understands. I'm not talking about liquids. I'm talking about moving on to actually eating puréed foods. My instructions were so vague, so essentially my question is what does everyone else eat? How do people come up with recipes and things of that sort? Do they just throw whatever in a blender? I've gotten like 3 recipes. I'm in college and don't have many options.

I don't eat anything. I'm having a hard time know what to eat, how, how to make it, etc etc.... For everyone else: I'm already doing applesauce, cottage cheese, and all the other super generic stuff. The whole purpose of these phases in the diets are to get my stomach used to eating normal food, GRADUALLY... If I stick to applesauce during the whole thing, that isn't preparing me. That's the problem I'm having. I'm not sure if people understand that that's why we have different phases and begin to eat things more and more. That's my issues everyone. To the people who had suggestions, thank you very much.

I'm starting puréed foods and have no fucking idea what I'm doing or what to eat and it literally makes me cry. I'm ready to just give up and stop trying to eat. Sorry for the annoying rant.

*basically everything hurts!

I only seem to feel comfortable on my stomach. I can't sleep on my side like how I used to, because my knees, shoulder, side, basically everything! Anyone know why? It's really annoying I can't sleep how I want.

Mine was 8 days early!

My biggest incision is on my lower left side, there is no incision where the pain is.

Thank you both!
