    Clothes! Argh!

I agree on dresses. Buy ones that look great belted or with a jacket! I have some that are actually 2 sizes bigger than I wear now, but they still look good belted.

    Sleeve surgery and PCOS

I am 38 and was diagnosed with PCOS 20 years ago as a college freshman. I have dealt with all of the issues (no periods, infertility, facial hair) except thinning hair. I am really hoping I don't lose my hair from getting sleeved. I am about 9 weeks out and no problems yet! I do want to recommend laser hair removal. I had my facial hair removed and it has been the second best gift I have given myself (after the sleeve, of course)!

    Snacks?

I also love frozen Yasso bars or Kroger Enlighten protein ice cream bars if I want a treat

    Snacks?

Hard-boiled egg, 1/2 apple with a little natural PB, deli turkey/cheese roll-up are all go-to snacks for me. Now that I am a couple of months post-op, I can do half of a soft protein bar (like Pure Protein brand)

stall at 2 weeks out?! help!

I stalled from weeks 4-8, which ended at Christmas and am down 5.5 since then. Since surgery on Oct 23, down 38. I am 5'10" and 2 lbs from onederland-- haven't been there in a long time! During that long stall, I felt just like you, though. I couldn't believe I had my stomach cut out and was still stalled. Went down at least a size, though, as I said earlier. Hang in there!

stall at 2 weeks out?! help!

I have PCOS, too, and cycles have been crazy since surgery. I had a huge stall about a month out and felt same way, but dropped a size! Are you losing inches or sizes? I googled what it actually meant to lose water weight and that helped me realize that I was losing fat as my body was trying to add back water and glycogen. We are so conditioned by the scale, but the big thing is getting smaller!

stall at 2 weeks out?! help!

Can't figure out your gender, but if you are female, many have periods within weeks of surgery and that could be part of issue. I had one about 2 weeks out even though not due.

    Salad?

I am two months out and eat salad a lot. I do best with it if it is chopped very fine. I usually get a Subway chopped salad and can eat it for three servings. I have also bought chopped mixes at the store and do well with those.

    First day failure or common?

Perfectly normal! Walk, walk, walk and you will get rid of the gas and feel better.
  10. I highly recommend having an ablation. I had SVTs during the birth of my 2nd child. I could not be electrically converted because of the baby! After 9 hours, I was chemically converted. I nursed for five months and then had to stop to take beta blockers and some other drug (deal with my cardiologist so I could at least get my baby some breast milk). I had an ablation when he was a few months old and have had no issues since and off the drugs! Good luck.
  11. I had a lot of dry heaves in the hospital. It was horrible, but by day 4, I felt like a new person. I remember thinking, "why did I do this to myself?" It does get better and is so worth it!

    Cream of Wheat nightmare! Help!

I am 2 months post-op and eat plain oatmeal with Genepro protein powder, SF Torani Vanilla syrup, and PB2... Tastes like a PB cookie right out of the oven :-)
