  1. Hello, I had my gastric sleeve surgery on December 19, 2014 so I am also 9 month post op. I have lost 70 pounds and I find that I am slipping back to my old ways as well. I have been through 3 very major life events since May and I am stress eating. I am scared to death really because I do not want to go back to what I was before. I am sorry I really don't have any suggestions on how to get back on track. Do you need an online buddy? I look forward to reading any suggestions that come with your post. Regards, UmmZ
  2. Hello, I am 9 months post gastric sleeve surgery. I had my surgery on December 19, 2014 I had to see a new doctor (a general practitioner) since the doctor who performed my surgery is far away from me. I was getting B12 shots once a month after my surgery in December 2014 with the doctor who did my gastric sleeve. My last B12 shot was in March. I also have low Iron and Vitamin D levels. From your experience, how often should I be getting vitamin B12 shots? I am taking an iron supplement and Multivitamin (Supradyn) once a day and Vitamin D tablets once a week. What does your doctor prescribe for you all to take? I ask these questions because I live overseas in the United Arab Emirates and the way some doctors practice medicine here is different than in the US. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
  3. I am 20 days post-op and I am doing well. But two days now I am very hungry. I am tired of baby food and pureed Soup and Protein drinks. I feel like I want to eat something. What do you suggest I can eat during the soft food stage? Also, how often should I be eating? How many times a day?

  8. Hello, Today I am 5 days post op and woke up feeling fine. I was prescribed Voltaren for pain and I take that at night so that I am able to sleep on my left side. My daughter had this procedure done as well and told me that she was not able to sleep on her side for 3 months. I woke up extremely hungry (do you think that it is only in my mind?) I still have not went out walking, even for 10 minutes, and I know that I should. I will make the extra effort tomorrow since it is already night where I am. This afternoon at 4:30pm I poured myself 1 cup of beef broth and 1 cup of coconut Water. Without thinking, it was already 5:30pm and I finished both of the liquids! My stomach was gurgling. Will I be okay? Do you think that I might have stretched and opened up my stomach because I drank so much? From now on, I will be more mindful of how I drink.

  11. Hello, I am 4 days post op. Each day is better than the previous. But today my large incision on top right has been more sore. I also have been feeling dizzy and very weak. I have been drinking Water (which is difficult to drink, i don't know why) chicken broth, green tea no sugar, skim milk, and coconut water. I feel what have I got myself into. I resent my children eating around me and going out to eat. There are times during the day I wish I would be eating something but I do not. I need to work past those feelings.
