:frown:Can your port be knocked loose? I noticed last night and this morning, I can not feel port like I used to. I also noticed I am not filling the restiriction in eating last night and this morning. I was banded 10-24-08 and have lost 40 lbs and very happy. But something does not feel right. Could I have become unfilled? I hit my left side on corner of bar type piece of furnitiure yesterday afternoon . Kathy:frown:

I live close to Owensboro. Started my band process a year ago with Dr, Weiss at Georgetown. Im that proces Weiss and Okdhan started going to Jackson Purchase in Mayfield. I chose to switch my surgery to JPH because no time chage when I has an appointment and mu son lives in Murray KY which is 20 minutes away. I have a reason to visit in that area now. I had the band on Oct. 24th, The best thing I have ever done. Jenifer is GREAT. I have had 3 fills and things are well. My only complaint is that I never see the surgeon again after I left hospital which was about 3 hours after surgery. Kathy

I was banded Oct. 24 35 lbs lost. I am VERY happy with band. I am lucky as in I can eat failry normal just not the quanity/ I do not eat pasta, rice. bread, sodas or sweets. I have not PB, but feel full much easier. I do however have a pain when I do eat in the evening. It is located where port is. Is this normal or is it my body's way of saying enough?

I was banded on Oct. 24 I have lost 37 lbs I too was thinking of a tatoo for my goal weight and to surprise my husband Everybody keep up the good work, Just think how nice summer will be this year.

Hello everyone. Banded on 10-24. No pre op diet did not begin to lose til surgery date. Had liqiids the day before, Had my 1st fill Dec. 2 3ccs could not tell anything. I had ny 2nd fil 2ccs Dec. 12. Maybe a little diference in having to chew slower and smaller bites. I have not had pasta, rice or bread or pop. Not much red meat either. I have lost 25 lbs with 50 more to go. So far I am soo pleased with band. I know I still have to make good choices. I go back Jan.2 for 3rd fill. My doc does not make you have liquids on the 1st or 2nd fill. They said you know how you feel. On the 3rd fil however they said you will probably want to be only on liquids on a day or so and then soft a day or so. They said you almost always on the 3rd fill start knowing your have the band. Happy holidays!!!!! Kathy:smile:

I guess I am in "bandster hell" After 1st fill of 3ccs, I am still hungry. I am making good choices, but it is getting harder. She told me the 1st fill would probably not do anything. I am scheduled for 12-12 for 2nd fill. The nurse said that should be better. They did not tell me to do soft food or anything, just whatever I could handle. She even suggested getting a couple of Chicken McNuggets and eating them before I leave town to make sure everything was OK. I live 2 hours away. I am so ready for 2nd fill. Kathy:wink_smile:

I wa so nervous and there was nothing to it. I had lost 22lbs since surgery/ The NA met me at office b/c I live 2 hours away and she was about to go in to work at ER. She had me lay down and numb port are and then gave 3 ccs She pushed a little hard but found port very easily/ She said usually the 1st fill is not as much restriction. I go back on 12-12 for next fill. I hoper everyone had a nice holiday. On now to better things.:cursing: Kathy

I was banded 10-24. The 1st few days were not painfree but bearable. Each day has been easier. I have lost 22 lbs. I also am a carb adict, but do not even want any. I ahve had a bite or 2 of baked potato ata at restaraunt, but I eat my prrotein 1st and I have no room left for carbs. I can however it is time for my 1st fill. I go Friday. When you get to hospital everthing happens so fast. The worse part is dreading. Before you know you wake up and you are new banded life begins. You wil be fine. Kathy in KY:wink2:

I was banded on 10-24. For a few days I thought what the he--had I done to myself. But aafter that each day got better. Now I feel great 20 lbs gone and already more energy. It is amazing how much better you feel when you put good things in your body. Kathy:tongue2:

Just had a few bites of grilled tilipia and soft vegies. Literally a few bites. I feel stuffed, but not miserable Banded 10-24. The dr. sid it is ok on the 13th day Kathy

Hello everyone I was banded 10-24. I believe my doc must be more aggresive about food. I get to start on baked fish, crackers, toast etc. today. I have 12lbs since the 23rd. I also measured everything. I think that will help get me through when I am struggling with making good decisions. I too have abused my body long enough. I am though having trouble getting into routine packing lunch and snacks for work. I have not started exercising yet. I know that wil be important and another life style change. Kathy in KY:rolleyes:
