    December sleevers

My hair loss has evened out. I also had it cut short (a little too short) but it will grow out before it gets cold. You are probably losing inches. I stick to protein and veggies. I hardly ever eat carbs except for a sandwich once or twice a month.

    December sleevers

July 11 will be 7 months post op. I'm down 92 pounds. I'm finding I still perceive myself as really overweight. Picking out clothes is a little shocking as I go down a size every 30-45 days.

    Your Journey

I'm on Cape Cod. During the day that tact could work but not in the evening. People try to push food and I just can't eat it. No room in my sleeve. Still have weight to drop! Lol!!

    Your Journey

I hope you had a great 4th! I went to a party and the hostess had a difficult time understanding why I only ate 2-3 bites. So did some other folks. This is becoming a constant issue. Especially in going out to restaurants. Can be awkward at times.

    Your Journey

Yes it is sad. I'm down 92 pounds. Having some difficulty adjusting to my new body. I still see myself as much larger that I actually am. I'm swimming laps for an hour almost every day. Plus other exercises. Still mostly soft food. Meat here and there. I'm a very cheap date! Lol!!
  6. Things had been going so well. At 4 months post went into hospital with extreme pain and vomiting. Was discharged and told it was the stomach bug. 4 weeks later ended up right back, This time they did ultra sound, MRI etc. and I am down one gallbladder. Apparently it's common to have gallbladder problems post op. Guess I missed that. Anyone else have this issue?

Gallbladder removal 5 months post sleeve

Never heard of the supplement. Kinda water under the bridge for me but hopefully someone will learn from this. Will be asking my surgeon in 2 weeks. Thanks everyone!

Gallbladder removal 5 months post sleeve

I'm experiencing pain from the surgery but don't think I'm dying anymore. Thanks for asking.

@justoperated.....I pretty much stick to protein and vegetables. Very few carbs. I work hard on paying attention. No bread, rice or potatoes for me right now. Protein bars are my downfall. I have to carefully read the labels as they may say 20 or 30 grams of protein but I need to look at the fat, carbs, calories etc.

@thinnieminnie. Yes I still have tenderness at the largest incision site where they removed part of my stomach. It's a little annoying but was told it was normal. I was also told to start Biotin on a low dose. Give it time to work. If after 4-6 months it doesn't work or stops working then go up a level. If you start off with 10,000 IU you have no where to go once your body gets used to it and it stops working.

I was sleeved Dec. 11, 2014. Down 73 pounds. I made a HUGE mistake in buying a scale. Had to put it away as I was on it everyday. Still working on getting required protein and water. Constipation is my biggest issue right now. I know water intake is part of the problem. I exercise daily for 30-45 minutes. Hoping to drop 30 by July 1st. This whole site is soooo helpful!

    Hair Loss

I saw my surgeon on Wednesday. According to him, Biotin does not regrow hair. It does help with hair loss, skin health and stronger nails. Taking it may help. It may not help either. I was told to start at a low dose and increase slowly.
  13. I had my sleeve Dec. 11, 2014. Am down 67 pounds. Have another 50 or so to go. I am on the treadmill every morning but my time on it varies. I also do Wii fit plus which is fun. I'm still struggling with getting enough water in. My hair is beginning to fall out so am going for a hair cut in a few days. Friends are saying I look shaggy anyway.

    Hair Loss

I am a little over 3 months post sleeve and my hair is just starting to fall out. A little frustrating.

    Discouraged Already

I had my sleeve done on Dec11. I refuse to weigh myself otherwise I would drive myself nuts. I feel like I've lost weight but my waist size has not really changed yet. Don't keep looking at the scale. Not easy. Believe me I know. I will be weighed at my surgeon's office at the end of this month. I'm hoping for good results.
