Had my second post op appointment today and it went great. My weight when I started was 320 my weight today at the doctor office was 243. I'm so happy. My dr his intern and there nurse were all so excited and happy with my progress. For those that remeber i almost backed out of the surgery and my dr said aren't you glad you went through with it. I can honestly say that I think doing this surgery was the best thing I ever decided to do.

Hello Everyone Blissful it sounds like you are adjusting well to being on the sleeved side. I am so happy you are doing so well. Isn't it amazing when you have that full no thank you don't want anymore food feeling. I first noticed it the first time I ate. I still get it after eight weeks out. As soon as I feel like I've had enough im done. Can't remember a time in my life when I haven't cleaned my plate of food. So glad you're doing well keep it up. It will get easier to tolerate foods as you go along. Can't wait to hear more about you're progress Onward that's great about you're scale. So happy for you that has to be one of the best feelings in the world. As for me when I started the surgery process I was at 320. The day of surgery I was at 290. Today when I got on the scale I was at 246. Can't remember the last time i was in the 240's. It's amazing. So happy i have you guys here to share the journey will. Until next time...

Blissful i am so happy to hear about you're experience. You are on you're way and have joined us past sleevers. I could relate to you're story in so many ways. Ie: the pain upon waking and thinking i am never doing this again. I am right there with you on the pledge to take care of the stomach. Now we all get to take care of our stomachs together through support. Hang in there. For me the first few weeks were the worst, but it sounds like you are making great progress. I look forward to hearing about you're journey as it continues to move along. Welcome to the sleeved side. Onward that's excellent about the running. I am happy to report that I too today ran a bit. Couldn't believe how easy it was. Usually I would be huffing and puffing and feeling like I was going to have a heart attack. This surgery is truly the best decision I made!!!!!!!!

✂️How many sleevers have had their gall bladder removed?
Avhick replied to ☁️9⃣B????'s topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had really bad gallatones before surgery. I had to have a gallbladder removal surgery before the sleeve. My doctor said its not practice to remove the gallbladder and do the sleeve at the same time because it increases the risk of infection. So I had the gallbladder removed then the sleeve. -
Ok I've been massively craving water since last night. It's like I can't get enough. My mouth Is also very dry anyone have the same experience????
-
Peace love and sleeve you should try to drink the protien. If you dont drink and don't take the protien that's not good. My dr prescribed me something to stop the gurgling and stuff. I believe it's the stomach acid that causes that. If I stop taking the medications for more than two days then I get the gurgling and stomach stuff going on
-
Leelee I had the fatigue too. It was very draining. It took until about week four for the fatigue to greatly subside.
-
Allison good luck im sure it will go great. Keep us posted

@@peace love and sleeve are you drinking fast?? At first it would take me about an hour to get through 5oz of liquid. I couldn't stand water so I did diet cranberry juice and Popsicles
-
Peace love and sleeve It does get easier. I had my sleeve on December 29. The first two days in the hospital were good. When I got home I was tired and weak. When I would go in the shower I would get tired and out of breath. Just moving would get me out of breath. I would get periods of extreme fatigue. But I'm now at week five and things are extremely better. I still get a little tired but in can breath and for the most part im pain free. Hang in there.

Hang in there everyone it gets easier

It's amaZing the changes. I am going back to work next week so I'm sure I'll get some comments. It's funny because I'm seeing and feeling bones and stuff that I've never seen and felt before. So glad that we are all doing well. Looking forward to continuing to hear about everyone's progress. Luckily for me acid hasn't been to big of a problem. My dr has me on a medication that reduces or stops the acid. I stopped taking it for two days and on the second day I had continuous heart burn. Hope to hear from everyone soon.

Blerdgirl thanks for the advice. I've slowed down the eating a lot with the two minute intervals and no more frothy saliva.
-
Onward that's excellent. Glad you are doing well. At week five im doing good too. As of this morning im down to 263. I'm amazed with how I'm starting to look.
-

One week later. I feel great
Avhick replied to Eli Alexander's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow sounds like things went great. I had my surgery on December 29. The day of surgery I had pain when I woke up. They got it under control pretty quick. Once on the unit I was able to get up and go to the bathroom. Walking was hard because I was Nautious and dizzy. That was from the meds during surgery. The next day I was able to walk the halls but I had stomach pain from being filled with gas. I spent two nights in the hospital. When I came home I was really tired for like two weeks. I would get out of breath and fatigued very easily. However on week five im good. I've lost almost 30 pounds and feeling great. Hope all you're journeys go well -
Any updates????
