    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Brenners Good luck with it all............... I tried everything over about 9 years........ My wifes cousin had the surgery 2 1/2 years ago and lost 12 stone, I had the surgery in November and I have lost just under 6 stone, altougth in my younger years I was very fit and I have exercised since 2 weeks after the op. It is a good system but it is not like turning on or off a switch, 'you' have to work with it. You must watch what and how much you eat. The portion thing is so important, otherwise you will overflow, end of story and you need to be ready for it whoever is around and wherever you are. I am suffering from reflux at the moment which is disturbing my sleep in a major way, I have only had it for about 4 nights..... Reading a post on here it is possibly due to a fill that was done to tight... at my request !about ten days ago. A question I would ask your surgeon is, how many fills are included in the op figure ? What happens if you go home and in 2-3 days it is not right (lose / tight), do you go back in FOC and have it adjusted or do you have to pay for it ? GOOD lUCK Nu-Life
  2. Hi Everybody, Nu- Life here I was done on Monday, 2 days ago. The preparation, the surgeon, his team and the operation was a dream. I was sacred as I have not had surgery since I was 5 (now 38). I had to stay in bed for about 12 hours till the anathestic and morphine wore off, then I was up and into a walk around the ward corridors. They let me out yesterday afternoon, last night I felt the first signs of pain. 5 hours sleep last night up at 4 this morning, Im an early bird anyway. This morning (7hrs) I have had one orange (juiced), 1/2 ltr of Water, 2 table spoons of live yoghurt with about 7 smashed up rasberries. I dont feel the need to eat but I want to get some Vitamins and minerals in me. Can anyone tell me is the bloating feeling normal, on my post operative diet I exercised and noticed my belly become a little flatter, but since the op I have noticed a bloating stomach and feeling ??? Good Luck to you all Nu-Life
  3. Hi My name is Julie and my husband Tony has had a Lap band fitted today. He has been out of theatre a couple of hours now and is still very sleepy and a bit sore. I thought I would get him registered on here so it is up and running for him to log on when he is up to it. Have read some great advice so far Julie
