    Malnutrition?

I guess at times eagerness to reach the goal weight gets the better of us, I constantly remind myself not to starve myself of calories.
  2. I was sleeved 12/14, doing OK. Lost 28 Ibs so far, but its been slow since last week or so like 1/2 lb a day, but I am fine with it. Started work and tolerated. Have trouble reaching Protein and Fluid goal. Taking yogurt, skim milk, eggs, fish, cheese, lentil soup. Wasted money on many different flavours of Protein shakes but can't take any. Lately have stopped adding to any food. Have started on Fortimeal, which has 20G protein in one can, taste is OK but does give me diarrhea. I take one daily and its more like when I want my bowels to move. Started exercising since a week, but only 15-20 minutes and walk 4-5 km. Get muscle aches pretty quickly.

    Change in Urine Color

Dehydration causes dark urine but usually not tea colour. Check with your doctor, it could be blood that has denatured in bladder.
  4. I have started after 3 weeks but I guess I am very much deconditioned. Felt tired after 10 squats, could do 50 when I was 25ibs heavier.
  5. Down the arm pain can be from heart. Better check with your PCP or ER.
  6. @@billitant You are absolutely right. We could do it if there were 36 hours in a day but there is no way I can manage 80 Oz a day with 3 meals and snack. And there is work as well.

Post op help needed - hunger

I do pretty much the same thing. Eat a boiled egg for breakfast, then take Protein shake in juice on way to work and feel hungry by 10:30. I take a break at 11 and eat pureed chicken or fish. But the difference compared to pre-op is that 2 ounces and I am full.

After 2-3 hours of getting back in my room.

    Eggs are bad

I am on pureed now and eggs are the only thing that sit well. I am eating two daily. If I was allowed, I would eat only eggs. I tried scrambled first day but it was too dry, since then I am eating boiled. Tomorrow I am going to try omelet.

    Coffee

I am 2 weeks post op, the diet brochure tells me, decaf coffee is OK and skim milk is Ok, so I am sipping first cup of decaf with skimmed milk. When were you allowed coffee?

    1st day back to work!

I got back to work today too, everyone noticed the weight loss and asked. I told them about my surgery, most were like, did you really need it etc, few very very supportive. Did not feel hungry at all but felt thirsty, took sips of Water but did not sit well with me. I take snack at 12, but also found difficult to finish it in half hour. @@ShannonbKSU I was sleeved 12/14 but have not been allowed crackers so far.

week 1 post op weight loss...

Its common, but will slow down with time.
  14. She hasn't done anything to make me really concerned, just has not got my trust in her. Only thing she initially did was put me on ensure, which I could not tolerate, then she told me may be its bcoz of carbohydrate content which is high in ensure. Now I am arranging to see another NUT next week who has been doing it for quite sometime.
  15. I am not very comfortable with my NUT, she is very young, has recently joined the team, and seems inexperienced.
  16. If you can't even keep fluids down then you might need to seek medical advice. First time for me to hear that sleeve is banded as well. Your band may be too tight.

Anyone else on Testosterone Replacement Therapy?

Which injections are you taking?@ I thought they are every three weeks. I had a discussion about it with my Endocrine a year ago, since my levels were lower side of normal. He did tell me of some increase risk of heart disease, sleep apnea and prostate enlargement. At that point we decided to watch it and get tested again, if they drop, he will put me on TRT.
  18. Currently my main worry is how am I going to manage to take in my Fluid, Proteins and calories after I start work next week. One to two hours of commute plus 8 hours at work.

    Taking a bath?

I showered day 2 after covering incisions with Water proof bandage, daily till day6. Day 6 onwards showered daily without covering the incisions. Dried the incisions soon after with sterile gauze, but I guess keeping incisions submerged in water, like in bath tub is probably not a good idea.

    Bandages for how long?

My bandages were removed before discharge. Had no drain. Was advised to use soap & Water. Inaddition to that I cleaned daily with 70% alcohol. Had no issues.

stall at 2 weeks out?! help!

@DgotSleeved Am still reluctant to get back to gym, my worry is mainly dehydration, as I still can't take much fluids, just enough.
