I found out this website thru a friend that had lapband.  It has taken me 2 years to get to the surgery.  I have been steroid dependent for years and the drugs blew me up like a balloon.  Not to mention steroids caused a multitude of other health problems.  Some of which are permanent.  I tried every diet and weight loss program under the sun. Even tried accupuncture.  But with yo-yoing up and down on steroids I found it impossible to lose any significant weight .  I even tweeted to Richard Simmons who told me "you just have to be diligent with your plan".  Great.  Thanks.  It's just that easy.  Right.  Finally I came to the conclusion that this was the only way. I had the surgery on Dec 17th.  I am suffering with severe discomfort from having a hiatal hernia repair as well.  But I am told this will get better.  I sure hope so. Down 51 lbs in 9 weeks.   Lost a bunch of inches too.
