I really liked that performance, but yeah, I've never seen this Peggy Lee person, never even heard of her.....??
-
Hmmm, David Cook did nothing for me last night, and I am normally a big fan.... Syesha did really good! She has really impressed me the past few weeks. David A. did really good too. Nothing blew me away about any of the performances last night, but it was enjoyable.

I think they perform a song they had previously performed, of their choice? I may be wrong...... Should be a great show next week!!! Can't wait! Bye Jason, I'll miss you!!! :frown:
-
THAT is a GREAT idea!! Thank you!!!!
-
yeah, that's a good question. I would love to know as well!!
-
I'm afraid I have to agree. Time is up for my man Jason! Love him but he's gotta go, last night was disappointing, to put it nicely. I thought David A. was fantastic! For me, he wins already based on talent, HEART, and attitude. To take all this in week after week for a 17 year old, he handles it like a pro! David C. is good, no doubt. He has the potential to be another Daughtry. Syesha, beautiful voice, but I'm on the fence with her. She could go or stay and wouldn't make a difference to me. I don't think she had as much of a story for camera time in the beginning to create an impact with me to care enough. Does that make sense?? I dunno.... Anyhoo.....It will be interesting to see if there is a big upset tonight. *edited to add: I LOVED Syesha's hair last night during her Tina Turner song! Beautiful!!

For some reason I feel like the poor kid is constantly thinking about what his dad is gonna say or do. Of course I have heard on ET and TMZ that his dad is a stage dad from hell, so that could be clouding my perception too, so I could be way off but that is just the feeling I get. I feel like he is under tremendous pressure from his dad. I dunno, but like somebody else said, as a mother, I feel like I want to protect him from the people who call him names, he's just a kid so I think people should be a little kinder about what they say. I look at him differently than some people, I see a sweet, humble kid who has amazing talent and is maybe looking for approval from his dad. This is me being a mother hen!!
-
I agree it is very noticeable but it is probably something that he can't control? I dunno. They can take care of that in the studio when he is recording. :cool2:
-
Maybe he has asthma or something. I have athletes asthma and even when I sing sometimes I get short of breath and sometimes wheeze.
-
Did they announce what or if next week has a theme?? I'm soo over this theme stuff too. At least last year they Bon Jovi, that was probably my favorite show of all the seasons combined. But Neil Diamond?? Andrew Lloyd Weber?? Time to let the kids show what they can do with the songs that THEY choose!!

Well, you and others have made many statements that so far haven't been substantiated. Please, all I ask is either show me the money or stop alleging this stuff. Easy enough, right? -

Great, once again I would love for you to show me where I discounted other people's issues with him as their doctor. NEVER did, thank you. Also, show me where I said MY DOC would NEVER do anything wrong or he does NOT have complications. Where did I say that he told ME that he never had a complication. Please stop implying that I have done those things, or said those things, or that I am a fool for going to this doctor and that anybody who does go to this doctor is a fool or didn't do their research, or blah blah blah. Or that we are SOOOO lucky we are not dead at the hands of our doctor. I don't care what your opinion is of him, but until YOU can PROVE the issues about the stupid posting on boards and lying about things on boards, all the weird message board allegations, then I have no time to listen to you anymore. You also said that "...people who have been on this board a long time know who posts and what coordinators post for the docs...." Umm, well I have been on the board a little longer than you, so even that doesn't hold water. I have never once claimed that any of his former patients were lying or exagerating or anything like that. I have simply stated MY experience with him many many times on this board. Take it or leave it, but you have already made up your mind about him and that is fine. I am only challenging what you people are saying about him lying and cheating and whatever on message boards when you have no proof yet that I have seen to substantiate such claims. If you can show me PROOF, I will SHUT UP about it. I read that business about him giving patients id's on message boards, begging them to write testamonials, and all that stuff WASA wrote, I would REALLY love to see the proof on that. PLEASE, show me so I can let this go........ -

Oh, so you can PROVE that these are from him? Great, I would love to see the proof, until then it is all speculation. Yes it is odd, but just the same ~ I could create a new profile and start posting things such as, "Oh, Dr. Ortiz is da best in da world, he my surgon and I luv him, you go to him and you love him too.....etc." Or something like that, then you would think I am a schill for Dr. Ortiz, when in fact, I am just trying to make him look stupid for posting ridiculous posts. Who the hell knows why people do what they do, but unless you have personal experience with him or first hand knowledge, maybe you should just talk about things you know are fact. We are all completely anonymous here, you don't know unless you can PROVE it was him. -

As a mom of 2 boys, I hate that if they were in this position, they wouldn't have a choice to have that baby. It would be heartbreaking to watch as your grandchild is killed and there is nothing you can do about it. -

IN YOUR OPINION Look, until you've been his patient, I don't think you have a right to determine his skill level. Unless you've spoken to ALL his patients, not just the ones with complications, I don't think you have a right to determine his skill level. Sitting on a message board reading stories does not qualify you to make such a determination, IN MY OPINION Been there, done that, LOVE him. Thank you. -

I was not at all mad. I like to mix it up sometimes with color size and type of font. Back in the American Idol thread I did get a little too crazy with the font size one time, whoa! And I like to play with the smillies!! :huh2: -

You say we should be able to state our beliefs without being accused of being harsh, yet that is exactly what you just did, accused pro-life people of being, and I quote ".....often very harsh...." Hmmmm.......???? -
Mita ~ I totally get how you are feeling. I too have a co-worker from hell. There are 3 of us in my department, one of which is our boss. My boss is great, love her. The other one is the problem. She comes in around 8:30-8:45 while my boss and I are always there at 8:00 which is when the courthouse opens. The reason she comes in late is because she is supposed to only take 1/2 hour lunch when in fact she always takes an hour. So every week I am at work 2-1/2 hours more than she. Then she is constantly on the phone taking care of her personal business and talking with her kids and husband, she is gone from work so much she is almost out of time to take so other people gift her their time. Then to top it off, she always pushes any problems or issues to me and my boss because she doesn't know what the hell she is doing and doesn't want to figure anything out on her own, or take responsibility for anything. She sits at her desk and eats like full on sub sandwiches, chips, messy stuff and she is the one who is the first person people get when they come in our office, it's disgusting......Oh, I could go on and on, it feels good to get it out!!! Thanks for letting me vent, it is so hard sitting there day after day and putting up with her. I feel for you!!!

I am also going to see Bon Jovi and Daughtry on Saturday! I can't wait, Bon Jovi is amazing to be around for so long and still be making great music. I loved them in the 80's and still love them today! Daughtry is a great bonus!!

Where I come from, it is more than less the teachers who tell the parents, "You need to have Johnny tested for ADD. He just isn't focused....." I hear this from my friends and two of my sisters who are in this type of situation where their kids have been tested due to teacher's recommendation. So it is not always the parents pushing meds on their kids, it is a joint effort. I too think this condition is way "over diagnosed", but I don't have any personal experience with this issue so that is just my opinion.

That's how I took it as well. It is SO WRONG that Michael was voted off, I was completely shocked....:scared2: I agree, it was just plain mean of Ryan to say that. He's a meaner.
