MAY 6TH, SAINT LOUIS, MO

My date is May 6 and I'm a not single mom of 3 including two yr old twins. No support from my husband at all during this process. I'm so fearful of not having enough help with my toddlers but I gotta keep fighting. Best of luck to u!!

@@MaryC94 thanks so much. My date is Wednesday and plan to be home Thursday. My goal is to be strong enough to take them to daycare Friday. Fingers crossed. Unfortunately I don't have much support from my husband. He's totally against it; he also just started a new job and may not be able to take off.

Can weight fluctuate during 6mth diet?
nerkerle replied to Bunnyrae's topic in Insurance & Financing
My BMI was 40.8 at first visit with surgeon's office. During the 6 months, I lost about 20 lbs which put me under BMI. The insurance company used my starting BMI and I got approved in 4 days. Anthem BCBS. Date 05/06/2015. -
I had mine removed 12 years ago due to pancreatitis and getting sleeved next month. One notable experience is I have frequent BMs.

I have BCBS of IL and they require 6 months of nutritional counseling. I went to my pcp and got documentation, then I went to the surgeon's nutritionist for two months, and not I'm doing my last 4 visit with my PCP. The office is leery about me switching but that doesn't make sense. The visits must be monitored by a physician and a physician is not a nutritionist and vise versa. My last visit is March so we'll see if I get approved, which I doubt. My highest BMI recorded was 40.38 and no medical conditions.

Thank you both. Definitely something to continue considering.

Hi, I'm 3 months into my 6 month requirement for getting the LapBand. I am generally healthy though my BMI 40.09. Including 2 pregnancies, I've never had hypertension, diabetes, heart or lung issues, sleep apnea, etc. However, I fear that once I get the band, I'll have a complication like slippage or something else they may be triggered by getting the band. I know it seems strange to have this sort of fear but has anyone with zero medical issues pre-op developed regretful post-op issues?
