Did all of you get told not to drink when you eat and to wait an hour after?
-
Lately I have been feeling a bit discouraged by the lack of weight that I have lost. Seems like my body has stalled. I'm not eating a lot so why am I not losing? I have a small stomach and do not eat a lot when I do eat so why haven't I lost more? Do I need to eat more? Is that why? More times a day? I'm at a loss for what to do next.

Feeling discouraged

I work at a pharmacy so I definitley get my excercize. I guess I just need to eat more. The issue is that i cant just stick with just 3 meals so should i be "snacking" on protein? I mean as you can see I am almost a month out and have lost 24 lbs. Is that normal? or should it be more? -

Feeling discouraged

I lost weight about a week and half ago. Sleeved 5/4. Fluid intake I am not meeting and probably not protein either. I find that even if I meet my 3 ounces at dinner I'm still hungry. I was told to only eat 3 times a day. I usually have either a shake or yogurt for breakfast. Lunch varies. And dinner I know I get my protein. -
setting up my "my fitness pal" app. what do you put as cal intake, and carbs, protein and fat percents? any other settings??? and how do you search resturant menus?

Drinking between meals after first few months
Jessica Radcliff posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Will I ever be able to drink anything between meals other than water? It says to avoid juices, milk, etc.... What do all of you drink? -
For me it's not so much I can't get enough down, I just forget it don't feel like drinking anything. I ALWAYS have something with me I just forget. Anyone else like this?

When u guys start to feel full what does it feel like? I think for me I'm starting to feel like it's stopping at bottom of esophagus or top of stomach almost like it will be stuck. Does that seem right?

Yes, it only allowed for the body weight ticker, there is no option for a weight to go one

Ok so, tomorrow is my one week surgiversary and I can start on softies like cottage cheese, string cheese, etc.... tonight I am craving the cottage cheese though. I can swallow my liquids down find, not even sipping, i can handle Jello and broth and every other thing thrown at me. Do you think it would kill me to have some cottage cheese for dinner? Im sooooooooo hungry and i feel like I would handle it ok. What is all of your opinion??

Well I dont tend to allow myself anymore passes. This was my hardest week I think not only due to just fluids but because i couldnt take my meds rigth away because of the size. Normally I am very very good at holding back. There was just a lot going against me this week. I dont necessarily say it was the rigth thing to do but i guess for me at this moment it was something that was needed. Now had it been a small slice of cheese burger, then i would expect you to all be coming right to my door and yelling at me lol but def from now on Im on a no pass lifestyle. But I thank all of you for atleast taking the time to response. This was my second forum site. I really thought the other one was going to be my fav but they dont like to respond at all and I feel in a journey like this, response and in a timely manner is what will make or break some things. Thanks! -

Had a small amount. Chewed it til even more mush even low it was small curds. Tasted So good. No reactions. Glad I did it. Needed it. And as for breaking rules I'm only out 12 hrs. I haven't even been allowed shakes or anything just broth tea water jello and pops so I think I'm ok. Am waiting one hour before drinking anything, and as my family can attest to, I am in a WAY better mood now that something is litterally IN and on my stomach. Was able to get around 4 small spoonfuls in before i started to feel full. I actually felt FULL!!! Thats a first for me so far:) I know we have guidelines but i also know that everyone also knows their body and their surgeron. I have been great at following every order to a T even when I haven't wanted to. I think so far I have done great with all the distractions and my usual lack of willpower. Im just please it went well:) -
I found that starting a blog and talking to "no one" lol has helped so far. And apparently people like it lol. Just wanted to share the address. Jessicasvsgjourney.blogspot.com

Chest pain when swallowing

I also had a hernia repair, I wonder if that is how it is for everyone with a hernia repair because of the sutures right next to the esophogus and the tightness there -

My doctor never said anything about protein and vitamins for first week. Only to have ONLY water, SF pops and jello, broth and decaf tea and coffee. Should I be worried about not getting protein or vits?

I don't really measure my liquids. I'll have a cup of broth then a sugar free pop then tea and over and over some cups are big some not. Any app or helpful ideas on how to keep track? I don't want to have to measure everything.

Omg cottage cheese is all I can think about right now. With French dressing on top (fat free of course) I use to like it when I was younger but had a falling out as an adult and now I can't wait. Counting the days!

CrAnKy! With a capital B!
Jessica Radcliff replied to MassageMini's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My family just keeps asking if I'm taking my depression meds. Obviously they don't get that not being able to eat anything and only drink clear fluids, feeling sore, and tired will make someone a bit touchy. Oh and to mention those depression meds are a b* to get down anyway
