Sleeved May 28. 337 start, 328 at operation, 295 now. Total lost 42# including a 3 week stall.
-
Lost 20 lbs in 4 weeks after surgery then stalled and only lost about 7 lbs over the next 3 weeks. Started losing a couple of pounds again but gained two back this weekend. Workout 5-7 times a week, burning almost 4k calories a day, eating always less than 1500. Go figure.

@@Mulepick Did you change anything to get it to move again? I'm in a stall too and am so frustrated.
-
Nice going! Broke through my own 3 week stall and have lost about 4#. Like you, hoping the next stall is way off.
-
Well done! The surgery is a tool, it's your guts that dropped the load!
-
Finally broke through an almost 3 week stall and have lost 3# in two days. Hoping it keeps up.

May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!

Afraid 500 will allow me to pass out vs. just getting dizzy. Dropped two pounds since yesterday, we'll see if that continues. -
May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!

Started tracking my food and activities on Fit Day. My caloric needs per day are about 3900 based on my lifestyle and how much I work out. Today I hit around 1000 calories, yesterday the most all week at around 1500. Still stuck at same weight since two weeks after 28 May surgery. That's 18 days in a stall; almost 3 weeks. Very scarey to me that I won't lose any more. -

Day 16 of stall after #20 lost during the first two weeks. Anyone had a stall last this long? I'm certainly not in the mode of "before I knew it, it was over". We'll see what tomorrow brings... -

If you don't like to cook, go to Panda Express. Get some chicken and green Beans or chicken and mushroom or some of their beef dishes. Made well, Protein there, not too many calories when you consider how much we can (can't) eat. -
I prefer unjury to the Bariatric Advantage I bought. Put powder in blender with whichever liquid you want to use along with a few ice cubes to cool it off.

4 weeks post op. Tired, dizzy, hearing?
Mulepick posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Even though I am eating right and trying to knock down all the Water, periodically I feel very tired, dizzy to the point of almost passing out, and my hearing goes a little when I have an event like this. Two weeks into stall after losing 20 in the first two weeks though I believe I am shrinking some. Ideas? -
Is the three week stall really a thing?

Can't think of any dairy I'm having except for a shot of milk in my 1/2 cup of coffee. I'm using coconut and almond milk. I can always boost water. Tks,; -

3 weeks post-op weight stall
Mulepick replied to need change's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Day 12 of my stall after losing 20# in two weeks. I'm thinking my caloric intake is not enough. It's 4PM and I've consumed Water, 61 grams of Protein, and 590 calories. My metabolic rate taken by my bariatric center was 2650 calories/day. I swam for an hour this AM as I do every day. Wonder if I boosted calories if it would help me break the stall. I also feel tired and dizzy a lot. -

Dropped 20 the first two weeks but now in a 10 day stall. Very frustrating and irrationally worried that I won't lose more. Eating what I want which consists of lean Protein, cottage cheese, Protein Bar, diet drinks (non carbonated), occasional Protein shake, light fruit, veggies. I can't believe I'm eating wrong or too much. Deep Water aerobics 5 days/week plus 1.5 mile walk 2x/week. -
May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!
Mulepick replied to Sara51692's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I turn 4 weeks this Thurs. Doc had me on "regular" foods after our two week meeting. Don't understand why everyone else still on mush or liquids. Chew well and all OK. Eyes still bigger than stomach. Still doing shakes but about 1/day. For lunch had a little chicken finger with 2.5 tablespoons of cottage cheese and a few spoons of crushed pineapple. Hit a stall at end of week two and have been about the same weight for about 11 days. This with deep Water aerobics every morning and a couple of 1.5 mile walks 2x a week. Dropped a quick 20 in the 2 weeks after surgery. Want this stall to blow past with some significant weight loss! -
Surgery 28 May. Lost about 10 prior to surgery then 20 over the first two weeks after surgery. Now 10 days into a stall and have actually gained 2 pounds. Male, swimming every day, staying on plan... scarey.

5wk post-op no loss for 3wks
Mulepick replied to sandyhoney68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dropped 20 pounds in week one/two then have been stalled for 10 days now. Actually up a couple of pounds and that's with swimming every day, being male, and sticking to the plan. A little scared when I dropped 20 so fast now a scared after not losing for 10 days. Hearing people say it's common is a little comfort but I'll be glad when I get used to riding this bronco. -
Average weight loss: worth it? Starting to feel discouraged...
Mulepick replied to Lauriep's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the same fears pre op. 60% of my excess weight still leaves me in the "obese" catagory with 40 more # to lose to be normal. What I'm OK with now, 3 weeks post op in a one week stall, is that this small stomach will be a weight loss tool for the rest of my life. I don't find it hard to stay on primarily Protein with veggie back up. I now drink a lot of Water because I'm thirsty, not because I have to force myself. Down the road, if I go off the plan I'll still be eating MUCH less and I doubt weight gain will be an issue as I swim every day. Losing weight down the road is easier, I hear, by re-conforming to the diet in concert with the "baby stomach". -
Surgery May 28. Lost 10# before surgery then 20# the next two weeks. Now currently in a stall. Not-so-patiently waiting to bust through.

Starting week 4 after week long stall. Weak, dizzy.
Mulepick posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Drinking plenty of Water, swimming every day, eating properly. BP is normal which is new for me but I find when getting up I get dizzy and sometimes I feel like I will pass out. 10 pounds lost before surgery, 20 in the two weeks after, 3rd week no change. Doing something wrong? -
NASIDs cause stomach ulcers. Did your doc finding any of these while he was in there? Mine did. I had been on Celebrex every day for years before I stopped a couple of months before the surgery. Now I take one when ever my pain gets too bad but certainly not daily. Pepcid daily and revisit the ulcer in a couple of months.

I was prepared for stalls, just not at week 2. I hope it doesn't last long.
