    1 night hospital stay?

Thanks for responding! I was a little worried for a minute there. I thought 2-3 was standard. I had my 4th c-section 11 months ago and I always stay 5 days. I guess if one day is common than I'm sure it will be fine.

    GOT MY DATE - JUNE!

    1 night hospital stay?

Really? Did you feel ok enough to go home after one day?

    Surgery date hopefully soon

Congrats! It is a very good feeling when your that close to completing everything ????
  5. I'm not post op but I'm confused on how no weight lost in 2 days is a stall. I guess I see it as a 15 pound loss in 10 days which is awsome! I'm assuming you weigh every day. Maybe you should cut that down to weekly, for all you know within the next 4 days you may lose 6 pounds...and if you only weighed once a week, you wouldn't notice "days" that there is no weight lost and probably wouldn't be freaking out at the moment. Don't stress I think you're doing great!
  6. You are not alone with your emotions. I am pre op as well but am scheduled for surgery on May 27th. I think we all feel the same way when beginning this process. This site has given me tons of useful information and I think has prepared me for what's to come. As far as one month prep time for surgery, I've heard some speak of that but I'm sure it totally depends on your insurance. Most require a 3 or 6 month pre op process. Good luck to you on your journey ????

    Appointment #2

Sounds like you are on your way! I had my 1st appointment Jan 20th and am having surgery May 27th. My process was smooth and easy...it seemed slow in the beginning but then things went fast. Good luck to you!

    Insurance Timeline to Approval

I have Aetna and when I asked how long they had to make a decision I was told 15 business days. My paperwork was submitted on 4-30 (aetna says they got it on the 5-4) and I was approved on 5-8 but didn't know.

    Insurance

@staceyrae thanks! It is definitely a relief but I wasn't worried at all. I actually rarely hear of anyone getting denied on here so I'm sure you will be fine...hang in there!

    APPROVED!

@@lisaanewme67 I did tell a few people at the school I'm at but the great thing is I'm transferring to another school next year and I don't know anyone there so no one will know that I've had surgery ???? Blessings to you as well I will definitely keep updating on my progress, you won't be too far behind me!

    APPROVED!

Congratulations!! I received my approval today too! I was already scheduled for May 27th...started liquid diet today! This process was so smooth and went by fast. The timing couldn't have been any better...I'm a Teacher and my last day of school is May 26th. I have all summer to recover and begin my next phase of this process. Good luck to you...hope you get your date soon!

    Insurance

Got word today that I'm APPROVED! So it's a go...May 27th here I come. Today is the official start of my pre op diet although I gave it a test run the last two days. Things went ok other than (sorry tmi) my menstrual cycle starting! Ugh lol!

    Pre-op liquid diet in 3-2-1....

    Surgery was APPROVED!!
  15. Congratulations on your new beginning!! I start my liquid diet today too...well I started 2 days ago to give it a test run and so glad I did. What has helped me is planning what I will "drink" each day and I put an alarm on my phone to go off and tell me exactly what to drink and when. In between time I try and stay busy to keep my mind off food. I pray a lot and keep my goals and some inspirational scriptures on hand to keep me encouraged. I'm having bypass on May 27th and am very excited about my new beginning as well ????

    Cardiologist issues ????

I actually posted about this a few weeks ago. I was sure I was not going to get cardiology clearance. My EKG was not normal and when I did the stress test my pressure was like 230/150 with palpitations! I did the echo as well and that wasn't perfect but didn't show any major issues. Even with all this plus the heart issues I've had in the past, I was still cleared. So I wouldn't stress to much, I was actually glad for the thorough testing and although my results weren't the best it just showed more reason for me to have the surgery ????

    Insurance

I'm in the same boat. My surgery is scheduled for May 27th and I still have not heard back from insurance yet. I'm not stressed at all, I'm sure it will all come together. If it makes you feel better maybe you can call and confirm when your paperwork will be submitted then check with insurance to see how long they have to process it.

    Pre-op liquid diet in 3-2-1....

Thank you @@Salonboi I know this is not going to be easy but you've got a great idea! I've set daily alarms in my phone that tells me specifically what to eat at what time. Adding some motivational quotes and reminders would be awesome! I'm going to give the insurance stuff a couple of more days. I don't have surgery until the 27th and they have until the 22nd to make the decision so im good if im approved. If by chance I'm denied I'm still good...I'll just move on to the appeal process ????

    Christian sleevers ?

I'm not a sleever but I'm definitely a Christian who believes that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could think or ask. I'm scheduled to have Bypass on May 27th and am so thankful that Jesus has kept me throughout this process. I know He'll be with me during surgery and after. I'm praying for your peace and strength through this process ????

    Bailey Bariatrics in Owasso

@@Cota1262 thanks! The whole process moved very quickly. Hang in there with the water...I actually love water and it's all I drink I just have an issue with drinking the required daily amount. Good thing is your liquid requirement doesn't have to only consist of water so as long as your getting your daily liquid amounts than you are doing fine ???? unfortunately for me water is ALL I drink so I know I'm not consuming enough liquids in a day but I'm hoping to do better with this by surgery time.
