I add unflavored unjury to my oatmeal. I add it to everything I can, I'm a tad obsessed about avoiding to much hair loss.
-
I have a package of instant oatmeal with 20g of protein in it every morning. Sometimes I dont remember to eat again until after 3pm. I've never had any problems with it.

Who you tell and how much you tell are totally person decisions. In the beginning of my journey I decided I wouldn’t tell any one. It was embarrassing enough that I had eaten myself to this weight and of course there was that collective thinking of surgery being the “easy way”. But I changed my mind early on . I decided that the lap band is the tool that will work for me, because I’m willing to work for it. If I were to tell people right now that the way I’m losing weight is ONLY by eating less and exercising more then I lose the option of being proud that I made a life changing , life saving decision to have the band. Six months from now I wouldn’t want to say oh by the way I sorta lied by omission and had lap band surgery in November. Thats what my decision was based on, but like I said, who you tell and how much you tell are totally person decisions.

November Nymphs Valentine Day's Challenge
Teresajo replied to hollyberries's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was so excited about the last challenge , but somewhere between oyster stuffing and Cookies shaped like little stockings I lost all of my accountability. Since I'm supposedly a little wiser now and I realize that there’s not a tamale in this world worth gaining even a pound for, seven weeks ,seven pounds sounds do-able. name ...........starting# .... current#...........goal#.....to go# Teresajo......... 252.............212.................205.......... 7 -
It was the best thing I ever bought. I get lost in my bathroom and I've never gotten a grasp on the whole North South thing. My garmin saves me gas and headaches.

For my post visits, surgery, 8 days in ICU, a total replacement of my band because of a crack in the tubing total medical bills for this experience are around $96,000.00 and I owe a $1400.00. -
I double up on my Protein too. In the am and before bed I have 8 oz of Water with one unflavored and one chocholate package. Since I've been doing this I feel less hungury in the morning and I sleep better.

How many CC's in your Inamed 10cc band?
Teresajo replied to shortgal's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Got my second fill this morning. I feel tighter than over Christmas. Just hope it last. -
I have had just as many problems with insurance companies as any one else has, but for the first time that I can remember I actually have something good to say about BCBS of california. I was going over my claims for the whole lap band journey. I've had some complications with a stay in ICU and was expecting a huge, totally unpayable bill. But it turns out that my total medical bills for this experience are around $93,000.00 and I owe a whopping $1300.00. Makes me almost happy to pay that weekly premium.Almost

My youngest went from a 14/16 to a 9/10 over the summer. So instead of taking all her old clothes to the church, I pulled out a couple tops and jeans. The ones that didn’t look to teenagery.

I didn't just fall off the wagon. I may have eaten it. I absent mindedly grazed myself through fudge, Cookies and salami. I don't even really like salami. That pre surgery shrink that said I was sane enough to stick to a healthy way of eating should be covered with dark chocolate and shot. I have a fill scheduled for tomorrow morning. Never thought I'd long to feel stuck and PB.

I was in icu for 8 days and then had to have a revision two weeks later because of a crack in the band tube. My portion of the bill is around 1400.00.

How do you want to be thanked when you volunteer?
Teresajo replied to Alexandra's topic in The Lounge
When ever I'm in charge of a volunteer event, this is the thank you I send to everyone who helped. I've been sending this out for over 12 years. I put it on happy paper, and always write something personal on each one. Many may be shocked to find, When the day of judgement nears, That there's a special place in heaven set aside for volunteers. Furnished with big recliners, Satin couches and footstools; When there's no committee chairman, No group leaders or car pools. No eager team that needs a coach, No bazaar and no bake sale; There will be nothing to staple, Not one thing to fold or mail. Telephone lists will be outlawed, But a finger-snap will bring, Cool drinks and gourmet dinners And rare treats fit for a king. You ask, who'll serve these privileged few and work for all they're worth? All those who reaped the benefits, And not once volunteered on Earth. -
Hello NSV is my favorite place to post. My NSV today is I bought the cutest bra and panty set. Not the mammoth 46DD horse halter and just my size panties that could cover a small pool. But a very pink with lots of lace 36D . My first happy shopping experience in years.

Thats such a sweet picture. I have two cocker spaniels that are less than a year old and need alot more training. I agree with wasabubblebut, you should update your ticker. You and I were banded the same day and weigh the same but you look sooo much better than I do.

When I started my weight loss journey in August I figured out right away that my hospitals staff were not the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree. In September to the dietitian which was the last person I needed to see for approval, says "every thing looks fine I'll send all the paper work in tomorrow". So I go Off to Las Vegas for two weeks naively thinking that when I get back I'll be setting up a date for surgery. She calls me on the last day of my trip and say she just needs to get my weight because she wrote it down wrong during our visit. After being completely dumb founded for a few seconds I asked why she was just now calling me and her answer was of course " I've been busy." Even now she doesn't return calls. Which Is why I love this site. There's always someone who can give an answer to even the silliest sounding question.

I'm one of those people that the nurses can never find a vein until they've poked me 3 times in 4 different places. So I was worried about the fills to. I had my first one this week, the doctor numbed it and put the needle through my port incision. There was pressure but no pain. Hope this helps.
