How to get back on track? 16mo. Post op
Lolly123 replied to lramirez29's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I feel your frustration! I haven't lost any weight in the past few months and started creeping up recently. I feel like I'm falling back into my old bad habits. I'm working out more than ever, but my bad food choices are sabotaging my progress. There's no magic as we've learned! Willpower, making good choices and self control are the answers. Good luck and hope we both can get back on track very soon. -
55+ The wonders of VSG
Lolly123 replied to RaginCajun's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm 58 and had VSG 11/21/14. I've lost 80 lbs - 40 to go! This is the best thing I've ever done for myself! I wish I had done it ten years ago! Tomorrow is my 7 month anniversary. The weight is coming off slower now and I have to work out harder, but it's worth it. It's still moving in the right direction. I catch myself occasionally eating something I shouldn't, but get right back on track. I have had hair loss, but am confident it will come back soon. Skin is pretty saggy, but again, I'm hoping that improves in time. These are minor inconveniences compared to how wonderful I feel! Good luck and try not to be nervous because it will all be worth it! -

Absolutely! I'm in! Knowing there's a weigh in every Monday keeps the weekends under control thanks for doing this!

Hi, my surgery was 11/21 and weight was 263. current weight 200.4. Hope to be in "onederland" this week! Can't wait, it's been many years since I've been there. My hair loss just started about a month ago and I hope it stops soon. So glad I did this and also glad this site is available for all the many questions I've had in the last few months. Such a great group of people Good luck everyone!

Does everyone meet their protein goal every day?
Lolly123 replied to downsizingdiva's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Does anyone know of a good Protein chart? I need something easy to use to show how much protein is in different foods. I don't think I'm getting enough protein even though I have a protein shake every day and put the protein powder in my yogurt or Cereal in the morning. I am just starting to notice some hair loss - I'm 3 1/2 months post op. But so happy with the results so far - almost half way to my goal! -

Ok, I'm ready! Weight this morning, 208.4, plan to get in "onederland" during this challenge and lose a total of 12 lbs. Good luck everyone and thanks for doing this

This sounds like fun! I haven't done a challenge and not sure how to do this, but I'll give it a try!

Just wondering if any of the "mature" sleevers (over 50) have any good suggestions for an effective facial moisturizer. After 2 1/2 months and 52 lbs., I'm starting to notice a lot more wrinkles! If there's a product out that that has helped anyone, I'd be happy to hear about it!

My surgery was 11/21 and I've lost 42 lbs. Still get fatigued easily, but am back to work full time. I don't notice a lot of change, but some people have commented. Mad at myself for nibbling on a few things that I wasn't supposed to over the holidays, but getting back on track. Monday I plan on getting back on my exercise program at Curves and then work my way up to more! Leaving for FL 4 weeks from today, so hoping I have lots of energy to enjoy Disney! Good luck everyone - keep up the good work!

I had surgery on 11/21 and still get fatigued so easily. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to get in as much Protein - just got powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury powder to sprinkle on food. Also, taking 2 Flintstone Vitamins a day. Hope to get back to work next week. Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks, it sounds like it's just a normal part of the healing process and it helps to know it's not unique to me! I agree, figuring out the food can be so confusing and the nutritionist that works with my doctor has never contacted me so I'm going by a packet of information they gave me. So far only able to eat about a tablespoon of food at any one sitting. Good luck everyone and hope to share more soon with all of you
