Need some ideas on how to control my portion sizes. Do you ever reach a point when if you don't stop at by a certain time you vomit? Basically how do you know when to stop eating?

I find that i get the hiccups when I eat too fast. Try slowing down and chew, chew, chew. :cursing:

I have 5cc's in a 10cc band. I had good restriction for about 2weeks now I can eat much more than I should be again. Why did I lose restriction? I know it can't be the fat around my band because I have only lost 2 pounds since my last fill. Is this normal? :thumbup:

Thanks for responding everyone. It does make sense. I get my third fill on Monday so hopefully that will do the trick. I haven't pb'd but I do hiccup if I eat too fast. I haven't slimed yet either. I just can't wait til I start to consistently start losing weight. How much per week do you all usually lose? Do you exercise?

All of my paperwork was submitted to BC/BS Alliance Select in Iowa on Thursday 7/17 and I was approved the very next day Friday 7/18.

The hurdles are all worth it... I started this process in June and received word Friday 7/18 that I was approved 1 day after they submitted my paperwork. -

I started this process in June... My paperwork was submitted to my insurance company on Thursday and I got word on Friday 7/18 that I was approved! I am so excited. But also worried... What if I should have asked for RNY instead? Is it difficult to follow all the rules with the Lap Band?

I have bc/bs alliance select. I do not have a surgery date yet. I have to attend the support meeting first of August then I will have an appt to schedule my surgery. Hoping for end of August. When is your surgery? -

Thanks.. I have bc/bs alliance select. I do think Lap Band is for me, just needed to hear from someone else. -
I will have to pay a $200 program fee when I schedule my surgery. I was not told it was for the support meetings though. Not sure what it is for actually..

wow 80lbs is a lot since April..Congratulations... I can only hope my weight loss will be that fast when I have my surgery.
