I've been doing the liquid for 2meals a day then having dinner or lunch but yes it will be a bit scary.....

@@Djmohr Sorry to bug you again..... Do you find your digestive system since having the bypass is affected....,,???? I don't have a gall bladder and i sometimes have issues with constipation. So. I worry with the alteration of the intestinal tract will it cause issues,?????

@@ThreeCrows Three Crows did you find when you had the bypass that you now have issues or constipation because of how the gastro intestinal tract is altered that's one thing which is really worrying me.....

BrianH are you having the bypass or sleeve????? I have a sweet tooth also lol.... If your having a bypass can I ask. Why your surgeon advised of the bypass more over the sleeve???

Ooo I'll have a look at that website, Well now I'm even more confused about what is better a sleeve or bypass..... My aunt brought over a friend who has had the sleeve and has lost 50 kilos..... I guess I'm worried with the bypass about the connecting of the small intestine to. The stomach bypassing everything I don't want issues with constipation :/

Yeah my mum is great and she is a retired nurse..... I think her concern was the same as mine... I don't want to get sick from ask of nutrients as I got made redundant in sept I'm looking for work also whilst I study ft at university so I don't wanna be having huge amounts of time off.... So clear fluids like just Water,????? Lol my surgeon didn't have the best bed side manner until back in sept I cried my eyes out in his rooms because my weight wasn't budging and I'd hoped to have it before Christmas now I'm kinda glad it's after..... Oooooo new York is on my destination list next my mum wants to go too..... Tell me were you in a lot of pain after surgery????? I'm really scared about open surgery I don't want that..... So my surgeon has Said the more I lose before hand the less chance of open surgery so yes I'm trying my hardest but over Christmas sucks a but.... Can I ask.... Did you lose hair?? I already know I'm gonna miss fizzy drinks... Are we not allowed them at all ever???? I drink sugar free now anyways but yeah..... Your wife and kids sound great..... My mum is already eating cotrectly to stay online with me lol but she's devo that she will be the only one eating properky for a while.... Do people know you've had the bypass done???? I've told no one I don't want peoples thoughts of oh she took the easy option because I'm not but can't run these days after a horse riding accident I which I put on all this weight after and now I'm trying to get rid of it.... I've never been a size, 10 I hope I get to that.....

Yea I have the best surgeon in the city I live in so that's one good thing...... He wouldn't let me book. In. MY date until I lost a portion of weight he said he wanted to me sure that I was trying. I guess all in preparation...... You sound like you are doing sooooooo well only my mum knows I'm. Doing this and she's a big support but she's worried........ I went out yesterday bought myself a nutribullet so I can blend up veggies and fruit etc....... So clear fluids for first couple days after surgery is it????? Then fluids for how long????? What types of things would you have for fluids,???? I have read people saying to drink Protein shakes.... Doesn't all the protein constipate you though Mother of my worries :/

Awww that is excellent I was initially freaked by the fact is read stories on the internet about losing hair and needing constant iv drips of iron and this and that.... It scared the hell out of me... My 3 weeks of shakes starts 2 Jan so not far away and then surgery 23.... Will be nice to not need BP medication anymore I just hope the surgery hoes smoothly and I don't need to be opened up now

Thank you soooo much djmohr.... You have relieved me of a lot of worry.... I suffer now with reflux so hopefully that will disappear after surgery.......i am. Soooo glad I found this site.... I felt sooooo alone and was considering cancelling my surgery..... Can. I ask do you find eating so much protein it makes you constipated after the surgery???? Did you find you had a lot of lose skin????

Thanks Kay.... The Vitamins aren't a big issues for me I just worry as I'm looking for work I don't want to end up sick all the time.... Alcohol well id be lucky to drink once a year if that..... But yes hair loss is a worry.... Did you have a lot of hair loss!?!!! Hope you don't mind me asking..... Tamra

Hi there everyone am new to this site... I only have one person I've confided in re my surgery and that's my mum...... My surgery is scheduled for the roux en y bypass on 23 Jan.....to start with I was totally excited... I'd worked hard to lose weight to prove I can have the surgery but now I'm close I did the stupid thing of goggling stories and also side effects..... Now I'm stressing and feel. Like pulling out.... I'm worried about my hair falling out, I'm worried I'm going to be severely malnourished and I'm also looking for work.... My surgeon. Did not mention. I'd need Vitamins for the rest of my life.... now I'm stressing myself out and feeling so. Overwhelmed as I don't have anyone who can reassure me it will be ok or anyone to speak to.... Most people who I know who. Swear by wls have had the sleeve.... So I'm curious why the bypass is so widely offered instead..... I'm sorry to pore all this out... I've worried myself silly over the last 24 hrs to the point I feel sick.... Can anyone offer me some advice???? Thanks
