I turned 71 this year. I have been overweight the better percentage of my adult life and when I went to the doctor for my annual physical he said have you ever considered doing weight-loss surgery? he said you got to lose weight or you may not be here in 10 years. that was a real awakening for me. I spent a lot of time thinking about this and then decided that yeah maybe that's the way to go because obviously I'm not very good at dieting anymore. So 9/5/2014 I had RNY surgery. Since then I have lost 43 pounds and I'm feeling so much better. Even though it was a difficult decision to have the surgery,this is the best thing that happened to me.
