@@Leepers how exciting and motivating. I have my surgery Jan 15th. I am so looking forward to the day when I do not dread going to a formal event.

@@lapbandmin I know gaining any amount of weight is frustrating but you had lost a lot in a short amount of time so gaining 1.5 pounds could just be your body adjusting to it all. Try not to be so hard on yourself. I'm sure you will get back on track.

Hi.... @flmommyof2 so excited about your surgery! Based on your profile it seems that we are starting off about the same; I am just taller lol. Did you have to do the prep and what was your pre-op like? Also, how about recovery time? When did you feel like going back to work? Thank you! Jennifer

65 pounds down. ... amazing! So proud of you. Did I read your post correctly? You've not had a fill....at all?

HI Bob, What is it that has you the most nervous/emotional? I do not know if you pray but it helps me and/or to say out loud what it is you are concerned about. Funny I am most nervous about the anesthesia. I have never had a problem with it but still.....My sister had lapband in November of last year and has lost over 100lbs. I am so proud of her....I never knew she could be so small....lol....But she still hates to exercise....some things don't change. Monday I will be one month out for my surgery date. I am sure I will reach out to you for a pep-talk :-)

Hi Bob, You will do great I'm sure just listen to your body, doctor, and dietitian. You will have many more meals to come. You are on your way to a healthier and happier you! I'm telling you ... I want to go to the beach in an actual swimsuit rather than shorts and a t-shirt...that is what drives me. What are your goals?

I start my 2 week liquid diet on January 1. What has been the toughest part for you and how do you work through it?

I know everyone's rate of losing weight is different but I'm wondering if anyone saw a loss the first month.

Oh I can't wait for 1/15!

Anyone know why it's important to give up caffeine before and after surgery?

@@jblkmom oh I dread the upper GI test. I had to do that when I had my galbladder out.

Has anyone been through pre-op? What does it consist of?

I've started giving up carbonated drinks and caffeine. So far so good but it's been hard.
