  1. @@reallyrosy I set that goal weight. @@FinallyFit50s yeah I'm trying not to be so hard on myself but when I was told that it just made me feel worse. People tell me I would be to thin at 140. I'm just going to having a small pity party but I'm not going to let it get me to down. I'm to close to give up now. Thank you guys for the kind words.
  2. @@reallyrosy my pre surg weight was 245 I'm floating between 167 and and 171. My goal is 140.
  3. Good morning all! I was sleeved Jan 28, 2015. I have dropped 77 lbs and I am stalled. I go up and down 4lbs and it's driving me crazy! I went to my one year follow up and the nurse said "you haven't lost much weight but lots of inches." I felt even worse and I thought that was insensitive for her to say. Here I am already annoyed with my stall and she just added to my anxiety. I don't know what to do. I just find myself being more self conscious about every thing.
  4. CONGRATS TO YOU!!!! You look fabulous!!!! I am not big on pictures and that is something I need to get over if not for me then for my kids. I have taken a few lately but I really wish I had measured my self before surgery. You are an inspiration! thank you so much for sharing!

    Skinny Minny! Me? Seriously?!

@@jenkbacon I am 6 weeks out and returned to work after 4 weeks. I got some of the same reactions. "wow you look great!" or "you dont look sickly at all!" (from friends at work) or "have you lost weight??" and my all time favorite "how do you feel?" Its like they expect me to look and feel like I am on my death bed or something. I feel great no doubt but are they wishing I had complications??? I had one co-worker tell me that I am wearing my clothes big on purpose. Really??? I am not running out to buy new clothes just one month after surgery. I am wearing my regular work clothes for now. And absolutely I get the questions 'what are you doing?" "what are you eating?" I dont know if it's because I work in the medical field and diet seems to always be the topic around there or what. Maybe its different in a regular work environment. For now I enjoy the compliments, but hoping that soon the spotlight fades.

    Meal help needed!

@@thesuse2000 I am glad to see you mentioned prepared foods. I am assuming you mean like lean cusinie and stuff like that. I was wondering if they were ok to eat. I was thinking along the lines of them being processed foods and I should be cooking more fresh meals. But that would make my work lunchs alittle easier if I did the prepared foods and cut the temptation of fast food salads and so on.
  7. It looks like it's high in protein.
  8. Has any one heard of or tried cloud bread? I found it on Pinterest and if says low carb or no carbs depending on which recipe you click on. I was just wondering how it taste.
  9. Walking helps. Don't rush it with the drinking. Small sips. Walking and a heating pad helped with my bloating. The belching is weird isn't it? I have never burped so much in my life.

    Can't eat fish

I am 3 weeks out on soft foods which allows fish as my only meat selection. However I am about to go crazy. I don't know if its a lack of a creative mind or what, but I am to the point where I do not want to see fish ever again. I have one more week before I see m surgeon to advance to the next stage. chicken, veggies and so on. Tuna salad taste horrible to me now. I have baked, broiled, grilled fish. I even tried it fried (lightly breaded). Just the thought of fish makes me want to gag now. I know I need to eat but it's to the point where i don't want to.

    African American vsgers!

Welcome @@vsgchick! congrats on your weight loss. any advice you want to give on how your journey is so far.
  12. I bought the gummy mutli-vitamins in Costco/Sams club. Vitafusion is the brand. I bought the Multivitamin, calcuim and Vitamin c. They are all gummies. Even my sons started taking them lol. During the classes they did our labs and I found out I was Vitamin D deficient so I started taking a supplement for that to, but since surgery I found a liquid vitamin d to take.

    Dining ouy

My surgeon actually gave me a card to show when I go out. It says that I have had a surgical procedure that limits my consumption to 1/10 of an adult meal and basically ask the to reduce the price of my meal to senior or child's meal. Not sure if all restaurants will honor it. I'm two weeks out and tonight is the first night I will go out to eat. I plan to have soup but curious to see how I will do
