Pinterest is a great resource of recipes. It's amazing nowadays, you practically don't even need a physical cookbook to try new ideas. Good luck ???? -
????Any May Gastric Bypass peeps????
Salonboi replied to Salonboi's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Congratulations on being on losers bench now! Glad to hear it went great. Thank goodness they got you situated this morning, as to not lose your place in line for surgery. The water part only sucks when you think of not having it. Being hooked up to an IV drip alleviates any dehydration. Godspeed on your recovery and keep us posted ???? -

????????First Day Post-Op????????
Salonboi replied to Salonboi's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations, that's amazing ????????????❤️ feels so good to actually be losing weight doesn't it. Each day I've gotten up this past week,I've not had that dreadful feeling of, omg how bloated am I going to feel today in my clothes, or how tight are they going to feel on me. -
Who's feeling/ felt starved during the liquids stage?
Salonboi replied to bringingsexyback1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Part of it is definite head hunger, the other part is some actual stomach hunger for me. My pouch is still confused on what it really is used for at the moment, cause it sure ain't eating lol. It's kinda just rumbly and tender in there. So I guess we are basically training it, with the steps we reach each week. I can tell its a lot of head games for sure. Good luck on your journey ???? -
Pre-op liquid diet in 3-2-1....
Salonboi replied to Martene81's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Godspeed on hearing back ???? the waiting definitely sucks, but is a great time, to really reflect on what's going to happen to your body and mind soon. I learned to appreciate process because of what I'd read on here. It made total sense. -
With the baked ricotta, we just can't have any crispy spots right? Or will it melt enough in our mouth, to not hurt new pouch? I also wonder if the pumpkin purée has to much sugar? Do they even make a sugar free version if yes? I'm trying my best to not dump.

Pre-op liquid diet in 3-2-1....
Salonboi replied to Martene81's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Good luck on your journey, the first 3 days were all head hunger games. So be ready with positive self talk. Whatever your motivation is, nows the time to think on that and think hard lol. I made a list in my notes app on my phone (to keep handy) on Why I Want To Lose a Weight. And listed everything I could think of. And in my moment of weakness, I'd read that list. And sometimes I'd read it 5 or 6 times in a matter of a few minutes. It definitely kept things in perspective for me. Good luck on getting your insurance approval soon. Have you called your insurance company again? I called everyday. Literally every day. It took a week to get my response. -
Need help from other busy working Moms!

I've not heard of that app, definitely gonna go check it out.. I to have not gone back to work yet. I'm super busy from the time I get to my salon to the time I leave. I never schedule any breaks in between my clients, but from here on out I have to now and hopefully this app will be reminder enough. -
yup I tried canned chicken, in fact I've had 2 cans in my cabinet for months. (Shows how much I liked it). Do it in the crock pot... It's far more flavorful! ok that's good to know. Sounds like it's gonna be crockpot type of night at my house ????

My NUT says only a certain amount for successful weight loss with the short window we have. And I want to maximize my tool hard core. I'm definitely being very strict with my intake. Have you ever tried any canned meats before? Just curious as to what to even look for when buying. Obviously nothing in an oil. And I wonder if it's just easier to pop chicken or something in crockpot, and cook all day till falling apart, yummy goodness happens. It'd be easier to portion control that's for sure.

Wow what a revelation, a very happy/scary revelation. Yours made me just realize that for myself. WOW ???? I'm definitely gonna pull out the sewing machine soon. There are some things I can simply alter. I definitely have saved my smaller clothes from 10 yrs ago. And yes some will be outdated, but some pieces are classic, not going out of style things. I just can't wait to go shopping in my own closet ????
-
The hash is a great, but there's potato in it. Do they make it without the potato? And the egg is basically gonna be like deviled egg filling for me ???? with some pickle juice for tartness. Yummyness. I'm salivating as I type lol I did read somewhere that relish type stuff doesn't blend enough for us this phase. That really sucks, because it'd be such a good way to moisturize foods.

I plan on making fresh salsa... Which is little more than, tomato, lime juice, onion, cilantro.. I think that's it. I can forgo the spicy seasonings for now. I was thinking the same. And I've always had a very high tolerance with spices myself. I love things spicy.

How strictly do you guys plan on following this?

this was at bottom of surgery preparedness book

Ooooo you have some great ideas!!!! And yes it seems weird with no bread and all, but definitely feels good to not need. And yes I've missed eggs so much to. I hope I'm not one of the few that develops and egg issue. And so soon out from surgery, is it ok to eat salsa? I thought things like salsa, pepper and other spices were a no-no? I love them all, so will be curious.
-
Congratulations on your successful journey ????
-
Well I guess we're on our own. Or nobody is on or near purée stage yet lol. What ideas have you come up with? I'm just pinning things on Pinterest, and hoping for the best. Anything not involving a Popsicle is gonna be better lol
