Any December Sleevers
sleevemom88 replied to Pepper123's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I also check almost every day and try to record it. It helps me see what I do that makes good (and bad) changes. A "gain" doesn't discourage me, it motivates me. A stall doesn't either... I know that my body needs them. I love seeing how no matter what this surgery is the best thing I've ever done. I would never have lost this weight on my own. -

Wow, 65 pounds in 3 months. What an achievement. I can't wait to be that far along. Keep up the great work. Well the higher the start weight the faster it falls off. I had a LOT to get rid of and still do haha You'LL be surprised how fast the time goes! -

Ah! Penny! Why?!?!?(My 600 lb life)
sleevemom88 replied to Kramer17's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just watched this one last week and my husband and I were talking about how awful her choices were and how we couldnt understand how she could be that way. She was given a gift and decided that it just was too much work. She had no intentions of changing herself. I just cannot figure out how she didn't lose ANYTHING though and kept eating and gaining. (not that I have ANY desire to try but) I dont think I could maintain or gain weight if I tried! I cant eat enough! LOL My husband was the one that said that first, the fact that there is nowhere to put all that food. The only thing I could think was that she must graze on awful sugary fatty stuff ALL day long and really commit to it -

I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
sleevemom88 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
For those only a few weeks out I just want t o show you what 4 weeks can do to your face. And my knee high boots are loose when I used to struggle to zip them. The weight starts falling off in strange places! I started my journey on Dec 4th at 334lb and now at 6 1/2 weeks out am down 46lb and feeling fabulous! I don't see a difference in picks of my body but I know it's changing. Keep motivated!!! -
I cannot vouch for the DS whatsoever or really for any of them in a medical way... However I can tell you I have seen many success stories with both sleeve and bypass and heard many of the positives and negatives on both. Do your own research, find out exactly what each does and doesn't do, restrictions on food and beverage and whatnot. Only you can make this decision. I thought I wanted the bypass until I did a personal evaluation side by side and decided the sleeve was a better choice for me. Good luck in whatever you may decide

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
sleevemom88 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I've lost 40 lbs. Better but not where I need to be, started at 334 so it's still a ways to go. Hopeful that by summer I'll be unstoppable!!!! -

I was sleeved on Dec 4th. My starting weight was 334. I am currently at 296 and holding. I'm at my first stand still and it's driving me crazy. The weight is coming off from my legs and face but not my hips. This is causing my pants to not change at all in fit. It frustrates me that I can't wear jeans still. I am slightly bigger than a 28 and am just anxious to get down to a decent fitting 26 so I can get back in cute jeans!!! Of course the idea of an end result of non plus size clothes is even better. Does anyone else have a hard time imagining the surgery working to slim you so much? I've never been thin. I guess in my head it was decided years ago I Never would be and now it's hard to change that.

Were you weighed the day of your surgery?
sleevemom88 replied to Debbie Jean's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No pre op diet here either. I don't think I was weighed in the day of. I used my weight from the Dr apt I had a few days prior. -
I'm kinda disappointed
sleevemom88 replied to Gail Ann's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is different, it depends on your starting weight and like a million other personal things. Everyone is so different. I know I started at 334 and the first 30 fell right off. Since that though, these past two weeks I'm barely moving at all. I just remind myself that every stall or loss is still better than gaining and try to keep positive from there. Stay strong. You will see results. -
what is the pain like?
sleevemom88 replied to boosh10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Omg the pain is ssoooooooooo less than gall bladder -
What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
sleevemom88 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have a 20 month old daughter that I can't chase on the playground. I can't fit in theatre seats or concert seats. Booths at restaurants got tighter and clothes got smaller. I realized this was simply not ok. Surgery was Dec 4. -
Oh I hope this is headed my way. I've felt such a lack of desire for a few years now and was hoping there was a chance of that changing with the weight loss$

Any December Sleevers
sleevemom88 replied to Pepper123's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Dec 4th was my surgery. Lost 35 lb in first month but have stalled for almost 2 weeks. I lost 4 lb the last few days but that was a stomach virus I had. Anxious to start losing again. I can't wait to fit in smaller clothes. No change so far -
The rumors have started!
sleevemom88 replied to Kabby_Chick's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told a select few before I had the surgery and then 3 weeks after I told the world via Facebook. I didn't care what they thought at that point and really I only got one negative comment back to me. I didn't have any reason to hide it. I figure I could have helped ONE person I know in their journey to lose or even just to give confidence to admit something that may not be the "IDEAL" choice for most. I feel a billion times better after telling everyone. I am a stay at home mom though so workwise I have no help -
Three weeks out, almost four. I know I am not ready but I want to be! Haha I have been craving a salad since before the surgery. Just trying to decide when I can try it in the future
-
That was part of my idea Lexie... eating out meal choice lol
