Permanent Long Term Weight Loss
bramos75 replied to drgthemd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been banded for 8 months and have lost a total of 106 pounds!! The band is only a tool...we either want to remain unhealthy or allow the band to work with us. People that have not lost weight is not the band's fault it's our fault because we remain in the same mentality. We have to stop trying to blame everyone and just look in the mirror. WE EITHER WANT TO CHANGE OR REMAIN THE SAME! No matter what it begins and ends with us. I have read many excuses on here and it's quite upsetting to hear th as t people are still trying to play the blame game...I have been overweight all my life and at only 4 ft 11 inches carrying 348 pounds was not fun but was my choice so people get over it and create a better life for yourself. -
Starting weight on July 26, 2014 was 348 lbs and today April 21st current weight 238 a total of 109 lbs lost...88 lbs to go!!!

The only flavor that is the wonderful is the Milk Chocolate especially when the shake is extra cold and a little icy!!! That is the only flavor that I like and I drink it every morning.

Banded since July 26, 2014 I have lost 104 pounds and continue by doing a simple program. Morning-Atkins Milk Chocolate shake, Lunch-Beef or Chicken with a veggie, Dinner-Beef or Chicken and a salad with Olive garden dressing. The more we complicate our journey the more frustrated and doubtful we will become snd then we want to give up! Keep it simple bandsters..we all can do it. I am 4'11 I was weighing 348 pounds...trust me this band works just keep it simple!! I wish every faith and hope...God Bless everyone of you!!!

I have read so many successful stories I felt compelled to add mine and I hope it reaches to at least one person. I know every post is a great tool of encouragement and I believe that to be the most awesome gift for all of us. So this was me....4'11, female at 348 pounds....working extremely hard to deny the fact that I needed to make a change. So of course I went to the WLS seminar and it hit me I don't want to be referred to as fat anymore, potential diabetic, high blood pressure, pain in my knees or feet...everyone seemed to have an answer for what I had become. Then I decided to take control of my life and no longer allow anyone to dictate my person so I had the Lap band done on July 26, 2014 honestly it was not difficult why because we all first need to decide who we love more...Ourselves or the ignorant comments people make that cause us to spiral and become more overweight. I chose myself and I have not looked back and today my beautiful Men and Women I am down to 283 pounds and I have yet to have any fills. If there is anyone who feels their not ready take that feeling and throw it out the window because you are ready to make a difference for yourself not anyone else. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND YOU DESERVE ONLY GREATNESS AND NOTHING LESS!!

That is correct I have not had a fill...the only thing I am doing is following the Dr.s instructions and that's it. I eat only 3 meals a day and do not snack. For breakfast I usually have a Milk Chocolate Atkins protein shake, lunch any protein and vegetables and dinner protein and a salad and as for beverage of choice I only drink Crystal Light Lemonade and for Coffee only decaf with 1 sweet n low pack and that's everyday. It's not boring or tiresome to eat this way you can get creative but, I stay away from Carbs and cheating because for me cheating a few times always led me to failure...so you pick your battles how best you can handle but after awhile your body will become accustom to your new eating habits and feel better.
