Hello. Since retiring from the Air Force in 1992, I went through a couple of cycles of weight gains and losses. Finally, when I peaked in the low-300s, I decided after some prayer and consulting with my wife, to pursue gastric bypass surgery. I had researched this surgery in the 2010/2011 timeframe, but the surgeon I was working with left the practice before I got to the surgery, so I went on hold and tried following weight watchers with some minor success, but again regained the weight. I finally got into a program at Penrose Main in Colorado Springs, with Dr. Bordelon, and made it to surgery (gastric sleeve) on 20 Oct 2014.
