    tattoos

I don't have any tats, but if I did, I'd get a tiny little "X" on the tushie, so when people respond with,"Bare it and share it!" I could pull down my waistband, indicate the "X", and say, "X marks the spot, sweetpea!" In light of getting LBS, though, I might get a dot to dot tattoo. That way it would from a solid design as I lost weight. Excuse me while I laugh myself silly; I'm easily amused.:eyebrows:
  2. So, I've been putting off the surgery option because I didn't think I was ready, and I wasn't. I thought I wouldn't be able to discipline myself to stick to it. Now, after 21 months with no sugar, I think I may be ready. I've signed up for my first seminar, researched my insurance, and am reading Weight Loss for Dummies. I've done the diet route so many times I should write a book. I'm a Weight Watchers three-peater. I have my one year coin from Overeaters Anonymous. My BMI is 46 Could I please have some feedback on whether or not I'm doing the right thing? I'm tired of being overweight.:help:

You look at where the division was for your birth year. Ultimately, you are a cusp baby and get to have traits from both.

    help with husband

I have just started on my journey through LBS. My husband married me when I was already heavy, and truly only wants me to be healthy. When I decided to look at LBS, he told me that he would support me and nag me relentlessly (he's got a knack for that) to do what the doctor told me to do. He's doing this despite his fears; the other night he asked me very poignantly if I'd love him when I was thin. So maybe your husband really fears that you will leave him if you have the surgery. From your post I gather that you and your husband have a serious communication gap, and I suspect that it has nothing to do with your weight. Keep talking to him, and tell him that ultimately LBS isn't about him, it's about you and your health. What, you're going to go platinum blonde and buy a red convertible to go cruising for beefcake? You're doing this for your health and for your son. Stick to your guns.
  5. My heart is breaking for you and your pain. It's small comfort to know that it isn't really about you, it's about your friend. She has really stirred up the you-know-what in her psyche and will cause her endless grief until she faces it. She won't let you be there for her, so all you can do is to do right by yourself. Keep your eye on the prize. If she ever comes back you will be stronger for your trials and maybe you can help her. Best of luck and I really mean that.
