What is everyone NOT going to miss after sleeve?
Aussie chick replied to alexsisv's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Shizwiz, you crack me up! I'm glad you posted in here - for some reason I can't get into the January Sleevers page. Grrr. I'll keep trying but I may have to contact admin to figure out what the problem is. Hope all is well xx -
Freak out pre-op... tell me I am not alone.
Aussie chick replied to Sassafrassa's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@Sassafrassa Hi Sassafrassa - I hear you loud and clear. I get everything you are saying. I too have depression and I have been on meds for 3 years and in that time, I have gained 30 kilos (on top of already being about 20kg overweight). I have also second guessed my decision to get sleeved (16th January) - I swing from supreme confidence to dread and fear and then back again. And then it hit me - my fear and dread and questioning my decision was just another way of sabotaging myself. I deserve to be healthy. I deserve to be happy. I don't want to be like this anymore - obsessed and imprisoned by food and my weight. All I can say is take a deep breath and just exhale when ever you feel yourself getting overwhelmed by it all. Don't try and rationalise it or question why your weight is what it is now or how things are going to be in the future. I am in Perth and always happy to chat if you need to - we can get through this together :-) -

@@katanabutterfly, its like you wrote that list for me! Better things are coming our way. There are going to be ups and downs but each day forward is another step away from being unhealthy and miserable. Imagine how good it is going to feel when our 'skinny' clothes are too loose!!! Best of luck to you :-) -

I will not miss avoiding having my photo taken. There are so many times I could have had a photo taken with my kids and I would always come up with an excuse not to be in the photo. Never again! -
Calling January Sleever????
Aussie chick replied to time for june's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello Everyone! I'm a January sleever too - except I'm all the way down here in Perth, Australia :-) I'm booked in for January 16th. I'm excited, I'm nervous but I am so ready for this. I'm one of those people who puts everyone else's needs before my own and it's time to do something for me - this is my time! Its summer here and I can't wait to be able to buy clothes that don't have an elastic waist!!!! I've been reading your posts about protein shakes and I'm not sure if we have the same brands as you guys, but I'll keep a look out for them. Best for luck to every one and thanks for the info on last supper syndrome!
