Once your have healed, how much manual labor can you do?

Hi Folks, Long time reader, first time poster. I was wondering how much or how long you are able to perform manual labor after you have healed from VSG surgery. I live on a farm and there are times, albeit infrequently, when I need to work all day splitting wood or whatever. Does the caloric restriction preclude a full day of hard work?
