    Questions about fluids....

I'm nine days post op ( banding) I'm taking lots of fluids with protein drinks and then to add 64 oz of water to that woowee, do it feel bloated adn spent way too much time in the bathroom. My question is: does some of the liquid used to make protein shakes count as part of water intake? Thanks for your help.

    Residual abdominal pain

Thanks lessofme and maryt for your question and answer about port incisional pain. I'm nine days post op and am awake right now at 2 am in considerable discomfort. It helps to know what this is and when it may go away.

Hi 2bmeagain, things in my neck of the woods are better today. Not so hungry, able to feel less sore. The weather has been rough for the midwest these last few days and I'm glad your safe. Mostly today I'm praising the Lord for being my Savior. God is more than able to walk us through our lives, and I thank him for that...

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the warm words ( accepting words) and food suggestions. The yogurt tasted really good yesterday which is a miracle and a first. I just keep it around for my son but now Mom is going to eat her share. I have a clear and concise food list from Dr. Tersigni’s office but for some reason my thinking was " stuck" for lack of a better word. I can advance to soft foods four weeks after surgery. I’m just one week post op right now, so liquids only. Today I feel much less sore and bloated another miracle for me just when I needed it! Banster hell defiantly is where I was yesterday. Today I’m going to make a soup, something homemade would taste good right about now. Even my cooking!!

Hi to all...having a really bad day. 7 days post-op and very blue. Incisions hurt, gas by the bucket and I have that panicky "I've got to eat to fix it" thing happening. Hard to read Bible or pray. Feel I'm going to fail at lap band as I did with so many other WL attempts. I'm afraid I'll dislodge the band if I eat the wrong thing, not follow the diet protocal. I absolutely have no sensation of fullness when I have food (protein shakes, water, broth etc.) I just want to keep eating. Afraid to call Dr's office at present, all I'll do is cry. Tired of feeling hungry. Thanks for letting me unburden.

I'm doing well, Praise God, and thanks to all my brothers and sisters in the Lord. Walking, sipping, walking, sipping just like you said 2bmeagain. My wonderful hubby is doing the laundry, I'm going to put together a meatloaf soon for my family then have a protein drink. Both choc and vanilla unjury are really good!!

Thank you to all for your prayers and support. We drove to Coos Bay on Sunday the 27th in a pretty heavy snow storm. The truck slid into the other lane, but God kept his hand over us and we arrived safe and sound. Surgery was on the 28th and I spent the rest of the day sleeping in our motel room. Today the post op esophogram perfect and so was told all was well and could go home. However the snow returned and we decided to spent one more night. So tomorrow we will head out for Roseburg again. I'm ready to go and get busy loosing weight. Please pray, once again, for travel mercies. Thanks so very much.....Joy PS: The discomfort of surgery has been very well controlled by meds and also got medication for nausea to take home. Four dollars @ Walmart!!:frown:

Some of my fav foods, do you see...

:confused:After a life time of "dieting" I can with authority say I HATE VEGETABLES!!! No salads, no raw vegetably stuff. Instead I drink V-8. Is this acceptable with an LB? I love juicy fruits. I love the taste, sweetness and thirst quenching properties of these bits of heaven. I live in an area I can get straight from the farm many kinds. I don't like juice just the fruit it's self. Where to fresh whole fruits come into the picture. Could someone please tell me about the amounts of Protein and other foods one is allowed in cups or ounces. Grams of food does not compute.:hungry: Thanks ever so much....Joy:kiss2:
