Thank you to all! We are all some pretty fabulous people❤️ I know I've got to step up my Protein game it's really ridiculous. I'm maybe getting in 30 from my food and I know that's not getting it. I go for blood work before my 6th month check up the 29th of this month so I'm hoping all my Vitamin levels are all good. I have hypothyroidism and I'm hoping its in good range as well. Thanks again for all your comments I wish you all well! @@acyum2008 Goodluck to you on surgery God Bless! -

So here I am close to six months out (April 28) SW 318 SD 294 drum roll please......CW 203! That's a total of 115lbs gone since this whole process started. Weigh loss was pretty rapid in the beginning and well now it has slowed a lot but still losing so I'm happy! My first goal is to lose 100lbs from surgery day which would put me at 194lb. I'm so close to meeting that goal and I'm sure I can do more! So I'm thinking I'll shoot for 175 as my second goal. How are you all doing with weight loss at this six month mark? I've slowed to about 1lbs every 4or 5 days. Sometimes 1 a week but hey I'm still losing! I do a 30 min workout on my elliptical 3 or 4 days a week. I have also set a goal of being in the gym at six months post op ????. This freaks me out as a lil. The thought of working out in front of people freaks to the max. Are you guys in the gym yet? My arms are so flabby and my upper inner thighs ugh. Honestly not sure that the workouts will improve these areas much but I know it will other areas. So protein I haven't been following my plan as I should. I'm to do one protein shake a day and get the rest with food. Well I'm good to drink 2 shakes a week. Not even sure why because I don't hate them or anything. I am however getting my vitamins and do well with fluids still. Anyways sorry for the novel I'm just so excited!!!!!! Life is great best decision I've ever made for myself.

April 23rd 2015 sleevers
Ready set go! replied to Marye382's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there! April 28th sleever here so almost 3 months out. Down 58 lbs since surgery!!! I couldn't be happier with my sleeve and luckily I've had no complications. Yay! So I feel like weight loss has slowed a little bit the past three weeks. I was able to get a pound a day down (yes I know daily weigher here) now it's a pound every other day. Rarely I'll get a pound a day. I still think it's fantastic. I do 4: 30 minute workouts per week on my elliptical and also thro in 8lbs arm exercises a couple times a week to. My goal is to be in the gym by 6 months out (just don't feel confident enough going yet). Oddly I've been having hip pain and stiffness the last month that I hadn't had before and not sure what's it's about. Other than that I feel wonderful! Rode a roller coaster this summer which I hadn't done since I was a teenager (been about 14 years). Fully enjoying every day! Hope everyone is doing very well! -
Post Op Joint Pain Question
Ready set go! replied to rosepose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been having LOTS of hip pain that I've never had before. Im 11 weeks post op 50 lbs down and the pain started about 3weeks ago. I haven't talked to my doc about it but it's been concerning me more and more. I'm a googler lol and have read forums that low back and hip pain is common in WLS patients. Hope all will be okay for you! -
Hi all! I was sleeved on April 28th of this year. Highest weight 318 day if surgery 294 weight tonight 253! Holla???????? I pretty much eat what I want except I've not tried pickles, lettuce, or any other raw veggie. 3-4 ounces a meal. Only drinking one premier protein shake a day at 30 g per shake. Hoping I'm getting the other 30 required thru my diet. Sadly if I'm not cautiously aware of my fluid intake I still don't get all my fluids in???? Meds lets see still on my Prilosec, actigall 2x daily, synthroid, and multi vitamin. I don't take any other vitamin supplements was wondering do you all take a calcium supplement? I've not had any blood work yet and not sure when I'll have to do that. I've not had any complications praise God for that. I ate entirely to fast one morning and did get sick 4 x before I finally felt better. Lessened learned! So this is me checking in how is everyone else? Would love to hear about you all!

Anyone hit a stall at 5-6 weeks? I've heard everyone say 3 weeks but no not for me. I'm eating what I should soft foods. Not getting in enough protein probably. We'll definitely. I wouldn't think that alone could cause a stall in weight loss. I'm even exercising 4 days a week in the elliptical for 30 min each time.

3 weeks 2 days postop!
Ready set go! replied to Ready set go!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I'm very happy with the weight loss! I weighed 294 on surgery day. People are noticing the weight loss thru my face the most. My clothes have lots more room and could probably drop down to a 22 but holding out as long as I can. I have not tried any other protein drink and I need to do that. I'm drinking the premier chocolate shakes and they leave a horrible taste in my mouth and I just dread shake time now. Goodluck to everyone!!!! -
Down 24lbs. Since surgery date 48 lbs since Christmas! Does the 24 lbs seem about average for a loss this far out? I'm doing well on my puree diet but having a lil trouble getting my protein in everyday only because the shakes are grossing me out. I CANNOT wait until I can stop taking the actigal pills. I take more meds now than when I started. How's everyone doing at this point out?

Any Illinois Sleevers?

Southern Illinois here sleeved 4/28 in Herrin IL -
I still have a week until this phase but since I'm feeling so hungry I thought I'd go ahead and ask for some really good ideas for this phase and ask a question. I like tomatoes cut up into my cottage cheese and I'm sure I couldn't tolerate the skins and I don't think it would purée well. Does anyone cut the skin off and purée the meaty part and seeds? What was everyone's favorites and what some things to stay away from? Thanks in advance for any replies!
