    ...trouble with binge eating....

I'm currently at 108 and my BMI is considered normal according to the charts Ive looked at... I was only 105 for a few weeks so I'm guessing that between the daily calories and the binge eating, I must have found roughly the amount I need to take in to not only stop losing weight but actually gain some weight... I appreciate the advice from everyone, thanks! I'll look into seeing a professional if the issues continue.

    ...trouble with binge eating....

@@jess9395 I'm 5'4 and have a small-to-medium frame...my BMI is considered normal so I haven't really been worried about what my weight is. I'm not trying to lose more weight, just maintain, but its been harder than I thought it would be.

    ...trouble with binge eating....

@@PorkChopExpress I do track my calories every day and I keep it around 1200-1400. I work out 5 days a week for roughly 45 minutes and drink plenty of Water. I'm definitely not trying to lose more weight, just trying to maintain, but this binging thing is an old issue...I thought I had moved past it since this is the first episode since my surgery...guess maybe some habits are harder to break than others.
  4. I'm 2 years post-op and just this last 5-6 days I have had a real issue with binge eating...it's an issue I had for years before surgery and never addressed and until last Thursday, hadn't had a single instance since my surgery...I know that psychological counseling is the best route to take but I'm also wondering if there may be a physical component to this episode. My weight was at an all-time low last week, 105, and I'm wondering if the extreme carb restriction coupled with my low body weight has made me crave carbs that much more....anyone with any experience with this, I would love to hear from you.
  5. Skinny Cow heavenly crisp. My biggest downfall is the calorie and carb bomb that is alcohol. I love wine and margaritas, and aside from being a super cheap date, I know these things have zero nutritional value but still refuse to give them up. Sent from my SCH-I435 using the BariatricPal App
  6. I'm exactly 18 months post op and my daily food regimen is still fairly rigid, but I prefer it that way. I eat to live not live to eat now so I don't give myself a lot of choices and I still track everything that goes in my mouth as well. The day of surgery I was 272 and today I'm 114 and just working on maintenance. As far as meals, I eat 5 times a day, things like cottage cheese, tuna, high Protein frozen meals, Protein Bars for busy days (I have 3 active teenagers), nuts and I do eat a handful of Wheat Thins every day. We go out to eat as a family maybe once every few weeks and I order whatever I want, it just lasts me 3 or 4 meals now. I was addicted to ice cream, donuts, cake before surgery and I can't tolerate ice cream at all now and one bite of cake is usually my limit. I was also a serious chocoholic and have found that it upsets my stomach as well- the only candy bar that I can tolerate is a Sent from my SCH-I435 using the BariatricPal App

    LOSING TOO MUCH WEIGHT!

Thanks everyone for the words of wisdom. Obviously a new body and essentially new life take a little while to figure out. I'll keep you all posted and good luck on your own journey!
  8. My sleeve surgery was done Oct 2014 and I am now roughly 15 months post-op. My starting weight the day of surgery was 272 and as of today I am 117.6. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall. My original goal weight was 145lbs...after 15 months I still have not hit a plateau with my weight loss and I am starting to get concerned. I have consulted with the PA at my surgeons office several times since November and have had multiple blood tests ran and everything is coming back normal. I feel wonderful and have energy to burn but that doesn't change the fact that I physically cant stop losing weight. I was running 5 days a week and have cut the running out completely and am only exercising 3 days a week now. I am also eating 6 small meals a day, up to 1400 calories with roughly 90 grams of protein and between 100-150 grams of carbs and its making no difference. If anyone has had this problem or anything similar I would love to hear from you. I am hoping and praying this will sort itself out soon because no one, not even my doctor, seems to have an answer.

I think I stretched my pouch

I am about 9 months post op and just the last 2 days have experienced what I think might have been hunger pangs for the first time since surgery...I'm not certain if I need to increase my protein or if maybe I was just tired or thirsty or it was gas pains, but I am wanting to know at what point, if any, some of you have felt actual hunger after your procedure...
  10. I have only included a very small number of people in my weight loss journey~ my husband and kids and my parents. I refused to tell my in-laws because of their judgmental attitudes because I fully believe in trying to only surround myself with positive people right now. The only thing I say to people if they comment on my weight or notice that I have lost, is "I have made some changes to my lifestyle" and then I drop it. Most people, if they were raised with any kind of manners, wont ask any more questions or pursue the subject.

Gained a pound and a half:(((

I'm only 2 months post surgery and woke up this morning and had GAINED two-tenths of a pound...I know in the scheme of things it doesn't sound like a lot but I have worked so hard for the 37lbs that I have lost and I cannot understand how I could have ANY KIND OF GAIN...it made me sick to my stomach to see it. I don't know what could have caused it, not currently having any hormonal fluctuations...having a real hard time just letting it go...I had to borrow money from family to have the surgery and all I want to do is succeed...
