7 months update with pics
freshair replied to freshair's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
This was at 5 months -
So i guess I'll give you guys an update. Been on the evra patch for almost 3 months and the first month it was great. On me week off i didn't get my period but got it the day before putting on my new patch. Which i still put on as per doctors orders and i jave not stopped bleeding since with patch no patch whatever. I'm really lost because between losing so much blood and low energy from the malabsorbtion of vitamins i cant even breathe probably. Doctors are just saying this sometimes happens, but i thought all my period issues would get better as the weight came off. I'm 4 months post opp 80lbs down since surgery but yet this pcos stuff just wouldn't give in. Really down right now

Debunking the Myth that Fast Food is Cheaper than REAL Food
freshair replied to LipstickLady's topic in Food and Nutrition
No absolutely not cause most home cooked meals average out to be 1 to 4 dollars per meal depending on the quality of meat you are choosing. But even so for the amount of food most of us are eating our meals are probably a dollar to 2 dollars -

Funny thing at my bariatric center we've been having this conversation a lot and both surgeons and nut have all said that it is impossible to stretch out your pouch. What can with time open up more is the new stomach/intestine connection. So ask your team.

Period. Please read and shed some light
freshair replied to TiffanyMarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh trust me i feel you. I've had to get blood transfusions because of my prolonged cycles so definitely get your hemoglobin checked. Cause between blood loss during surgery and all these prolonged periods your hemoglobin might be low. Take care of you and keep us informed
