I decided to do the Gastric Sleeve because i felt it was safer than the bypass and  didn't want the lap band as I had a fear of a foreign object in my body for the rest of my life so the sleeve was the best decision for me.  I have always been on the heavy side, even as a child.  Now that I am older I am not as able to carry the extra weight anymore.  I found BariatricPal by researching my procedure on the web.  I was very happy to find others who could share their journey with me.  My surgery is scheduled for December 10, 2015.  I am very excited about getting this done.  I feel very confident that I have chosen the best surgeon (Dr. Steven Hodgett) to perform the procedure.  I hope that BaritricPal will be my support group.
