Hey There :) My story really isn't much different then most. I've always been heavy, but the degree to which has varied over the years. I'm not the largest person you'll meet, but I'm also not the smallest. I've always been in this chubby middle point that has over time brought out aches and pains, slowed me down a tad and has been both a security blanket and a hindrance. I'm fortunate enough to not have many health issues aside from some join pains, but the potential for future issues always looms. You can say you are a healthy overweight person for only so long, because the reality is that this lifestyle will always catch up with you at some point. I finally made the decision to be bold, take control of the situation and deal with the issue head on. Am I nervous? You bet ya I am! But I'm at a point where I really need to push past that and keep a strong focus on the right things. The improvement of my life, reducing the weight on my joints, reducing risks for cardiac issues further down the line and living a healthier and more active lifestyle. Thoughtful change is good and I intend to prove that. In being thoughtful, I have chosen to have a banding procedure done, which is slated for late January 2015. I came across this website while googling to obtain as much information as possible to ensure I am prepared for the road ahead. Thank you to everyone who shares their knowledge and experience here.
