Heading back to ER again, prayers please

Maybe call your primary care doctor. They are pretty resourceful. Do you and your wife have the same surgeon? I had to go to urgent care before my surgeon would listen to me about having an infection. Their rep is everything so maybe you need another doctor to call your surgeon and say wth is going on here? -

I'm glad your wife is doing well. Now to get you well. What does your dr say. This is obviously not normal. Please feel better soon -
I didn't know other people had these experiences. My mom is my best friend. But she can be snarky and judgmental. Especially when she is worried. I'm 46 years old. My mother is 65. She became pregnant with me after a two year battle with cancer as a teenager. It was Vietnam and my father was drafted before I was born and they were divorced by the time I was 4. Basically my mom and i moved in to a house with a whole bunch of other people who put flowers in my hair and sang a lot of folk songs. Yes we were a hippy commune. The house included two of my mom siblings. And my other aunt was down the road. My mom needed to make up for a lost adolescents so basically we grew up together. We've always had the sibling relationship unless the mom who at around 27 decided to go to nursing school abd become a super powerhouse of a modern woman and mom and she married my step dad. All of he sudden I had a traditional like family. Bottom line is never sure who I'm gonna get when I approach with new news. At first she was not thrilled. I should be strong and just diet. Exercise more. We've all heard that. And my bod comes from my dads genes. She's a whole 120 lbs. but she has been incredible. She did try to make me eat something on thanksgiving. 3 days post op. My boyfriend intervened and reminded up food really is not love. But she's helped me so much. Amazing how I missed judged her on this. I can't thank her enough.

Anybody having surgery the 24th of Nov? What a countdown buddy?
emsgirl114 replied to Jacqbult's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was nov 24 as well. And like clockwork I stalled yesterday. And I'm 1/2 lbs heavier this morning. Terror has embraced me. Even though I understand what my body is doing I can't help but be afraid that this was all on vain. -
Glad to hear. It will happen

emsgirl114 replied to Lani789's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My boobs and butt also disappeared after loosing 60 pounds. I gained about 25-30 of the back. No boobs but butt. This time I'm gonna do squats once I'm ready to exercise more. Although I kinda like saying my pants keep falling down -

November Surgery Dates Anyone? Let's Connect!
emsgirl114 replied to Dabliss111114's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm sorry you've had such a rough Time. I sure do hope it gets easier. 46 pounds is a lot. But look at how your clothes fit and not the scale. I'm sure it is noticeable. The mind plays tricks on us. You mentioned not being emotionally ready. Maybe some counseling support would be helpful. I hope things get better. I have a large Italian family too. I know exactly what you described. No matter how much I say food isn't love, it is in our families. -

November Surgery Dates Anyone? Let's Connect!
emsgirl114 replied to Dabliss111114's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi all. I got sleeved 11/24. My story is slightly different. 2 years ago I got the lapband. I lost 60 pounds and then started having problems. Couldn't hold even Water down so had to have band opened up and basically start over. So much wasted money. Eventual decided to transition. Here are my stats 5'7-46 today, starting pre band weight 252. Heaviest 273. Pre sleeve weight 199.8. 13 days post op 186.4. Goal weight 152. I dud get a huge hematoma at the lapband removal site. It burst and turned into infection. Still bleeding at site. But getting better. I'm so excited to be on this site. I probably would not of gone to dr fir hematoma issue if it wouldn't have been for talking to people here. And that would have been bad. What I really want to say was the comments and compliments from others has always been hard for me. I feel like saying 'was I hideous before or what ? Guess what I'm still the same person. Just smaller. ' but I know they mean well. And I Am sure I've done the same thing to people. The worse is people who didn't know me before making fat jokes or comments. That is wrong and stl hurts to the vote. -
Hope you get good news tomorrow!

Have any of you had this happen during the 2 week pre-op diet?
emsgirl114 replied to angelajo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It will happen. Stalls are common. Your body thinks your starving so it's storing but it will eat the stores once it realize this is the new plan. You could also be retaining water. Try to Lower your sodium intake. Plus the ore opt diet is really to help shrink your liver. It's happening just keep up the work. It will be worth it. -

Do you tell people you had Weight Loss Surgery?
emsgirl114 replied to nolongerhere's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm with you. I say thanks, it's hard work. And when they ask how are you doing it, I say. I eat less and exercise more and try not to eat crappy food. If they push it, I just end conversation. That's the people who need to loose 10 pounds and think they are obese. Others i have said I'm working closely with my doctor. The few people outside of family I've told have also had procedure. I know just how you feel. I appreciate the compliment but please don't state at my body. That's creepy. What I like is when people day things like...you look so happy or I would have never of guessed you were 46. But above all else, be proud you are taking control! Ignore idiots. They are out there. Surround yourself with people who love you. -
