leanora27801 replied to JustFluffy's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have finally opened my eyes to all the progress I have made. I was still seeing the 439 woman I use to be. I'm down to 266 currently. The second photo is my earlier months progress and the first photo was yesterday while I was out with my family. -
How about some NSVs!?!?
leanora27801 replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went shopping for the first time since my surgery in December 2014. As usual i picked up the biggest size of a 22 and also a size 18, because I wasn't sure what I wore anymore. To my surprise, the 18 fit perfect, and I haven't worn a size 18 since I was 12 years old. -
Calories intake Vs. Calorie outtake
leanora27801 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I intake about 850 to 900 calories a day and I burn about 2000 to 2100 during cardio exercise not including what I burn during weightlifting. Can anyone tell me if I'm intaking enough to not send my body into starvation mode! -

Today I went to my family reunion and most of my family didn't even know who I was at first. They would walk right past me, until I spoke to them. -

I've been on a stall myself, and it seems like I'm stuck between 278 to 276. I'm hoping i can break through this stall soon. -
Welcome Gastric Bypass Veterans!

I'm 7.5 months and my weightloss has slowed down, but I can't really complain because i have come from being 439lbs down to 277lbs. I fear that I won't reach my goal of 160 before my honeymoon phase is over. Like some others here, i am a sweet addict too, so I look for things that are sweet but are within my guidelines like, honey teddy grahams, nature valley granola bars, skinny cow chocolates which you find in the sugar free aisle. My biggest thing is balancing calories lost during exercise and the calories I eat, and if I'm eating enough. -

I'm seven months out and i haven't had any complications either. I try staying within my plan, and when i do eat something as a treat , its not something that will cause dumping such as honey teddy grams which doesnt have alot of sugar and has protein also.

Does anyone know of a good food tracker iOS ap for us?
leanora27801 replied to ohjul's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use myfitnesspal and Noom. I love both of them. Noom tracks steps and workout as you do them or you can log it later. I breaks you food up into green, yellow, and red foods so you can see what you intake and need to work on. Noom also gives you task each day based on your personal weightloss goals. -

On the treadmill I do an incline on 12-13, and my speed is 2.9-3.0 for an hour. I normally burn 1200. Then I get on the elliptical and i do the cardio workout and i burn 750-800 for an hour. If i don't hit 2000, then i do a few minutes on the stationary bike to hit my goal. -

Today was exciting for me because my son and I worked out together today, and we did exercises his football team did during practice. We RAN around their football stadium, including the bleachers. I haven't ran anywhere in 20 years. Then we lifted weights together, and his workout was challenging. Then later in the evening we ran around our neighborhood. I think I'm becoming addicted to running. -

Exercise and staying on track

That's true about sweets and all the other choices out there, as for your exercise, just start by doing short walks and as you start to add more calories increase your workout. -

I waited until after my two week checkup and my surgeon cleared me. As for carbs, its still a battle for me to stop eating bread. I can go without sweets, but bread is my weakness. I'm trying not to be so hard on myself when I slip up, and just start over the next day with a new determination to succeed. -

I know how you feel, i started at 439 and I'm down to 278, which is the smallest I have been in 17 years. I have 80lbs to go! -
You are doing great, and i love your positive attitude! I started at the same point as you. My hw was 439 and the day of surgery on December 15, 2015 my weight was 382. Now 7 months later I'm down to 278, and I'm going shopping for new clothes soon, and I have no idea where to start.

You are doing great in such short time, and I found to get over my stalls, I either changed my exercise workout because my body has adated to it, or I needed to increase my water and protein. The third option is that you are not eating enough calories to cope with the what your losing when you exercise.
