I was feeling no restriction so made an appt. to have a 2nd fill. They have me up to .9cc in a 10cc band under flouroscopy. Sounds awfully stingy with the fills? I will be on liquids for three days. then mushies for 3. I hope this is a good fill this time. I need the restriction. I started dancing to Burn the Floor DVD. Love that show! They know how to dance. Also played golf Sunday for several hours then fed the crowd Brats and potato salad and Macaroni salad. Many desserts available too! Restraints were almost needed!

They both paid their share of hospital bill. I live in Minnesota. They paid a vastly smaller amount than they were charged but it says I owe nothing so far.
-
They just paid for the hospital bills for my lapband. Gosh, what a relief that is. We agreed to selfpay just to get the surgery and figured we would sort it out afterwards... A gamble that payed off.

Another Tricare (military ins) thread

I looked at www.tricare4u.com. My surgery was done Feb-24th-2006 and it reads that Medicare paid first and Tricare paid 2nd (on Hospitalization.) I have received nothing and have no way of knowing about other costs such as anesthesiologist , Surgeons fee etc. (I paid $3500 up front for surgeons fee) I have not received any bills from anyone. (So far) My BMI was 34.9 with sleep apnea and High blood pressure as far as co-morbidities. My surgery was done in Crosby, MN at the small hospital there. Any questions? There are no codes or much info I haven't given here. I have no hard paperwork on any of this..it was online when I checked for it and found what I have here. No Kidding! Update.... My BMI is currently 30.9..:scared: April 25, 2006 -

It was not too bad getting the fill. Kind of a big needle but it was numbed up. I ate jello, Ice Tea and protein shake today along with my water. No problems with my band! She probed a bit before hitting the port. That was with Flouroscopy! Drank the Barium (not alot) Only got .5 CC

Stabbing, Burning Pain!!!! Help!!!!

The redder the pork - the more tender the meat. Moist heat is what makes meats tender. A slow cooker or Crockpot is really good for this. Use canned soup or dry package soup with water and use anything like A-1 or Worcestershire sauce (even catsup) to add flavor to mushroom soup or other cream soup for the moisture. Pressure cooker works if you know how to use it well. Redness of pork is what determines tenderness along with moist heat. Hope this helps!:ban: -
Feeling so good that It is hard to remember the band is onboard. Tuesday. April 4th I get my first fill. Have been sewing drapes for the living room. They are looking really nice.

Get the kids up and tell them the whole neighborhood has been robbed. They are stealing belly buttons. Tell them yours is gone and they better check theirs. I think it is funny and won't be disappointing!:notagree

Anybody tried the Campbells Select Squash Soup in the box..? I use it to cook Pork or Chicken in and It is really good. But even just for the liquid stage it would be good. I add a little bit of barbeque sauce or soy sauce to the meat and Soup. Makes a gravy type sauce that is not so starchy and just bad for the pouch. And it makes the meat taste great. I think it would be really good for Crock Pot dinners. Good Cookin' I have had a hard time finding the Squash soup in our area lately:cry . -

My daughter-in-law and her sister were out shopping for dresses and they were in the petite women's section. The saleslady came to help and referred them to the larger women's dresses. They were not happy to be helped in such a way. The sister said "F...k you very much!" Ouch!:heh:

Yogurt, oatmeal, applesauce, cottage cheese, jello with cool whip. It will give you something to chew and stay with you longer. A protein shake your choice of brand of whey or soy (chocolate or whatever) can be whipped up with peanut butter, banana, nonfat dry milk, ice water or milk (small amount) Blend and sip slowly! It tastes so good and you will start to feel like a million bucks in no time. IMHO

I went shopping from 8 this morning to 4:30 pm. Walked alot. My surgery is a distant memory...How cool! I got barbeque chicken wings from KFC...not good at all... the band is not happy with that. My husband took me to Applebee's for dinner and I had onion soup.. Cheese is rubbery so couldn't eat that part.. Husband shared some of his steak and mashed potatoes..Yummy stuff! Went down easy too.. I am so tickled with my band and my weight is down to 179 today. Yeah! From 190 on day of surgery. It is working well.
