BAD! I am having surgery 12/16/14 and I am so nervous it's crazy! I think it's because I work on the surgical floor that cares for all the post op sleeve patients including the ones who have negative experiences. I just cared for a patient who had a VERY bad group of issues related to her sleeve and it was MY surgeon. Now I am freaked out beyond belief. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. I'm the only parent and my kids need me in tip top shape asap!

My surgery is the 16th.. I'm beyond nervous!

I have been on the liquid diet for 4 days now (surgery is scheduled for the 16th) and it is HELL! I ran into the bariatric coordinator at our hospital though (I am a RN) and she told me to eat some grilled chicken that it wouldnt hurt, and to add fruit to my protein shake (except bananas). She assured me this was normal, acceptable, and wouldn't hurt a thing.

I am 33 years old, a RN, and a mother of 2 daughters. I weighed 237 as of this morning. I actually work on a surgical floor that performs hundreds of bariatric surgeries a month. I have struggled with my weight since I was in elementary and have a huge "fluctuation" problem. Just last week (yes last week) I weighed 231 and three before that I weighed 242. It just hit me one day that I was fed up with struggling with my weight and dealing with diabetes, so I made the call. I started my pre op liquid diet yesterday.. Man it's a head game for real!! My surgery date is 12/16/14. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I really enjoy reading all of your posts! So inspiring. I just pray I have success with this as I would like to watch my children grow old, and live to enjoy their children too!
