  1. Yes it does look different. I look so much better. My jeans sag, without me trying. Plus ibhave tons of energy. You'll look and feel super.
  2. Yes. At least I can. I'm 4 months out.
  3. Try the Atkins shakes. They have 10-15 grams protein. My other fav is six star. But my taste buds change a lot. That may change next week. Lol.
  4. That's me. I didn't over eat. But I ate too high fat , high carb,high sugar foods, with little to no exercise.

    I'm having a tough time right now. I'm craving sweets like cookies to go with my decaf coffee. I only drink about 12 oz a night, I work 3rd shift, and I can't stand the protein bars constantly. Im also wanting to eat fast foods as im bored with what i cook. What have you guys dealt with when it comes to this? Btw, I'm 3 months out from my sleeve.

    I agree bobbyswife. I don't want to fail. I've invested too much with my life change. I know all of this. I guess I needed some reinforcement and encouragement. Plus some good ideas to combat the cravings. Right now all I have is fruit, light and fit greek yogurt, healthy nut crunch and protein bars.

    @@woo woo. Thanks . I use splenda in my coffee or hot chocolate or desserts that I make at home. But I have been eating more real sugar recently. I have to be stronger to avoid sugar. My nutritionist said I need about 3 days away from sugar and the body stops craving it. It's so damn hard in the holidays. I picked a bad time to have my surgery. Lol.

    @Elode. I do need to find some that I can just pop in my mouth. I made some oatmeal, applesauce chocolate chip cookie drops. No sugar added. They didn't bake up like I would've wanted, but I'll have to stop being lazy and try again. You have anything you like?

  11. That was me too. I am a sweets freak. Oreos or warm homemade cookies and milk were my favorite and my curse. I can't believe how much sugar I used to consume. I could ear 20 of the toll house cookies at a time.
  12. Yeah, it's a little scary to remember what I used to put in my body with no regard for consequences. Now, I still sometimes have a problem with putting too much on my plate. I think I can eat it, then I get sick trying to. I'm working on that and I'm getting used to not eating ad much as my wife does and sharing an entree when we go out. Also. I never realized how many commercials and billboards are about fast food snd eating. Jeez. I'm a food snob now. Lol.
  13. I used to eat a Six dollar burger combo from Hardee's, with 2 apple pies as ND large sweet tea. I still had snacks an hour or 2 later. I'm sure that was close to 2lbs of food and 2500 calories easy. Shocking to me that I can hardly eat a 4 once piece of chicken now.

    Don't get too discouraged. This will pass soon. Especially when you see the weight coming off. I got really upset with my inability to get my nutrients in and having absolutely no taste bud consistency. Tastes good, then I'm sick of it. That happened so many times. But after 4 weeks out of work being bored , it finally leveled out. It's worth it. I have so much energy. By the way. Remember to walk every day. You'll drop the weight so much faster. I lost like 30 lbs in 3 weeks.

    I user the Unjury unflavored protein powder. I added it to homemade ice cream, soups, and gravy. It took me awhile to get up to 90g of protein and 48 ounces of water. Once you get used to sipping on water and protein shakes it'll be easier. Vary your menu too. Make fruit smoothies with frozen fruit, protein powder and yogurt. Use ice or milk.

    Also, get some baby spoons. Eating with those will help you control what amount of food you take in. I ate a lot of soups too. I would recommend you don't eat any bread. Try the low carb tortillas. I found them at Food Lion ,a local grocery store. Never saw them at Wal-Mart.

    You should definitely be trying to get your fluids in firsf, then protein these first 2 weeks. Clear fluids for that period, then pureed foods for 2 more. I was sleeved 9/17 and it was hard for me too. I mainly had chicken broth, sugar free jello, yogurt and pudding. I added protein powder,unflavored, to what I could. I also drank those six star protein shakes. I got it at Wal-Mart, and skim milk. 2% was ok too. I added peanut butter to the triple chocolate flavor. I also got nauseous after I found something I liked then I didn't like it. Lol. It's frustrating but it'll pass too.
