I am on hold for BP regulating now all prep done. Trust me push call push again. I had to with each step. Labs n tests take no more than 4d to process over that start calling n pushing. Then verify verify. Last battle I went and got copies in my hand and I delivered them myself just in case -
OMG this has been my week for this one!! I have been on BP meds for a year and get all my pre op stuff done and go to the final PT and NUT visit on 1/13. Well guess what BP too high......delayed!! Delayed until BP gets to normal range 130s over 80s. well go to primary and get med change, now over 200/100 so called on call MD this morning and doubled that dose. Primary again tomorrow ugggggggggggggggg what a battle but yes you have to have it in control before they will move you forward trust me I am living it now.

Bite size question ...............
Laurac727 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First of all I am preop phase awaiting surgery date. But I am curious as to one of my NUT classes, a statement she made that is confusing to me. I know that it MUST be slow small bites with eating and chewed very well after surgery. I am working on that preop now. But she had us try raisins, but only let us take a bite of each raisin. Each raisin was two bites. Now other research states baby size spoon; others say toddler spoon. So half of a raisin is way different than baby spoon or toddler spoon. For those of you post op, what is the realistic response? -

I do plan on getting hair cut and color due to after affects on my hair and a pedicure for sure... -
LOVE the topic! Lets see, of course top of the list is to get my surgery date and get on with this journey! I like the idea of getting a existing tattoo recolored, new one hmmmm maybe I will have to think about that one. There are two weddings in 2015 for attendance and looking great would be nice yes. But little NSV goals, airplane comfort and seat belt fitting with the arm rests down; seat belt comfort in 4x4 while mudding; summer oh summer with a thinner healthier me. Nice thoughts yep can not wait!!!

yes relate very much, I have everything scheduled out. I just went today and did all the NUT classes. Now I do not go back until Jan 6 to support group but not to doc until Jan 13. I think I am going to go CRAZY before then. I read, study, books, sites like this, re read all literature they give me. work on every single goal they say every single day. I really think it is going to be hard long wait until Jan 13. At least so far, I have had things scheduled at least once a week but now long wait. and really on my mind tonight for sure -
I started with online items and PCP Nov 1. Then first face to face was Dec 10th and here we are now..............

Also in my beginning phases. I have had my Psych eval and first mid level with doc. Monday 15th I have both Nutrition classes. I have completed all blood work, chest xray, ekg, and h pyloria now those are done and previous CT scan results sent over. Mammogram dec 21st. Then nothing until Jan 6, hubby and I have to attend a support group together. I then return to doc on Jan 13 and PT eval. Then we shall see, I would hope they will submit for surgery after that with everything done by then. Not scared I will be refused, just wish I knew when this was. I hate the not knowing part. I am a very inpatient person by nature, I multitask to get it all done, and this is very trying. IF I just knew the date, I would be goal focused. I am focused on the goal, I am doing all my duties working towards. this week I have been caffeine free and eating with the baby spoon, trying to work on all that. TIME will tell for sure.............

First appointments done, headed back Monday, tons of homework
Laurac727 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had my psych appoint and midlevel medical appointment today, passed with flying colors. Stated I was a perfect candidate for short track RNY. Monday I go finish all my NUT classes. No ERG needed. have more labs, chest xray and such to do also with PCP. Hubs and I have to go to group on Jan 6 and Jan 13 go back and submit to insurance. Feeling it is finally moving in the right direction!! I did loose one inch today in measurements, IN HEIGHT! Boom there went that BMI up some more, dang it getting old too! Now to get busy on all the homework and scheduling of tests in the morning, but tonight I am ready to just veg............. -

Yes I am trying not to go crazy to know when, I am assuming after Jan 13th since that is my next midlevel MD appointment and I will have all done by then. This week working on smaller bits and chewing and looking for decaf k cups for my keurig is almost impossible when you like strong bold coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You bet I will keep posting mostly checking in minimum of daily to the recent items -
First Appointment Tomorrow
Laurac727 replied to Jocie227's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well like u I was totally exhausted last night and brain fried. Saw psych then mid level doc yesterday. They said perfect candidate for RNY. I came home with large to do list, labs, and chestxray, pylori test at PCP. I go Monday Dec 15 for all day NUT classes back to back all in one. Following Monday Mammogram was due so that is scheduled already. Jan 6 hubby and I have to go to peer group and meeting together. Mid level again Jan 13, and submit for approval or ?? We shall see. Yes they were awesome very attentive and informative. I had a c t scan recent due to gastritis so she wants those results to view and see if anything may be needed due to that and was concerned to make sure my scar tissue not in the way for incision sites from c section. So when they open I will get that going n get to her. -

Yes it was and exciting humbling and it started finally -
I have had my fitbit since Jan 2014. Faithful with it. I had the flex most of the time. Now my hubs has my flex I upgraded to the charge so I had the watch. Guess what, now he wants a charge. [will order it tonight for him]. That is what I have used with MFP combo to loose my 30 so far. That one 30 has been up and down all year and not more than 30. Hence why I am here, I need to add a new tool to my plan! Since I am deep in this and now hubs, and in my preop phases, I asked for the Aria scale for xmas for us to use. I think that it is a wonderful addition to our planning and can not wait to have it. Also you can check out mapmyfitness app that will sync your exercise session right into fitbit and MFP for you. SO FAR I have liked it also. If any of you want to find me on fitbit it is //www.fitbit.com/user/2C6XJC and MFP my name is the same on there also both of them
