    Hair loss

Mine started falling out around 3 months and now I am 7 months and it's pretty much stopped. I have been taking biotin and getting my protein in. I also cut it in a short chin length bob. Pretty much the only down fall of the surgery for me ~LA

    Short Sleevers?

I am 5'2 and originally I had my goal at 115 but I am pretty muscular and always have been. I've always played sports and even now workout 6 days a week. I am currently around 120 and it was hard to find a full body picture. But here's one of my husband and I at the Super bowl and I was 125

    OATMEAL

I have oatmeal probably every other day. I usually have the instant kind because of time and I add some unflavored Protein to it. I 've found that oatmeal helps keep me regular. I don't count carbs or calories. My nutritionist is totally fine with it. ~LA

Can anyone else eat this much?

I am 7 months post op and I wouldn't be able to eat an entire bagel. I would be full after half of one. I think twice I have had half a cinnamon raisin. Those and that Panera one are one of my favorite foods ever so I have broken the rules a few times as a treat. When I eat to much it is painful so it's not a matter of still being hungry. I would be frustrated as well since this is one of the main factors to having the surgery. Good luck- LA

    1 Question for everyone

I really like structure. It gives me this weird high when I have all my meals planned and fridge stocked with healthy food.

    Someone please answer!

Right around 3 weeks you will have a stall or slow down. It has to do with your body readjusting. There are a ton of threads on here about it so you can search and see. But it usually only last 1-2 weeks and then you should see the weight loss pick up again. You might also take measurements. During this time most people see those types of losses instead of the scale. Don't worry...you are normal as normal can be in this process ~LA
  8. I decided to cut mine because it makes it fuller if it's got less length pulling it down. No one has noticed the thinning but me and my hair dresser. I am also taking Biotin in hopes that it's helping but who knows. Good luck- LA

    Regrets?

Ahhh I did go thru a phase as well. I am so glad that someone else had warned me before surgery that you almost always have this feeling sometime in the first month of regret. For me it was my first day back to work and I was feeling amazing. I thought I could do everything and you know what...I didn't drink enough liquids and ended up in the ER at 3 am needing 3 IV bags. But it's been 7 months and I am at my goal weight and have no regrets now. I hope your heartburn get's better. ~LA
  10. I am 7 months out. I didn't have revision surgery...just the sleeve. I can eat anything. If I eat more than a cupcake I feel queasy. I don't dump but definitely don't feel good so I don't push it. I also find that steak doesn't feel so good in my stomach either. Like a big lump. So I usually just have skirt steak and that does fine. ~LA

    Working Out After Surgery

I did Yoga at 4 weeks but was very careful. I didn't do weights until 8 weeks. But at 8 weeks I could do everything just fine. I would say wait and be safe than possibly get injured. ~LA

    Fell off the wagon

I made the choice to eat badly this weekend as well but I know I can eat well the rest of the week. You are not alone in this weight loss/maintenance world ~LA
  13. I had to do a 2 week low carb diet and I was worried about losing to much as well so I asked my doctor. He said I already qualified so it didn't matter if I went below the BMI during the 2 week diet. That being said I lost 10 lbs and was at a 29 BMI the day I had my surgery. The 2 week low carb diet was really just to shrink the liver so it's easier to do the surgery. ~LA

    Goodbye to beer and pizza?

I probably have pizza at least once a week. My favorite is brick oven thin crust with Pep, Mush, and Olives. I can usually only eat 3/4 of a slice and I have about 2 bites of the crust as they put this amazing garlic on it. Love it!!! I also have a family that eats out a lot and pizza is easy to bring home left overs. My last food funeral meal was a Red Robin Teriyaki Burger with fries. I am not sorry I did as I haven't been to RR in 7 months and wouldn't be able to eat a burger like that now without throwing 3/4 of it away. I am not a drinker so that was easy to give up. I know for many it's beer and wine. I am sure once in a while you can have it. Good luck on your journey- LA

    WLS and IBS

I am about 7 months out and have not had one single issue with my IBS since surgery. I used to have issues probably 3x a week. I self paid for the sleeve and I can say that just fixing the IBS was well worth the money. I do eat oatmeal almost everyday to stay regular with all that Protein. I also can eat anything and not dump. I am at goal weight and couldn't be happier. Good luck- LA

    Self pay

I did self pay but in Seattle. I also used my Health Savings Plan so that it was tax free $$$ that I used. Good luck- ~LA
  19. It's actually a new guilty pleasure...Pink Champagne Cupcakes. Love these now I can't eat all the frosting on it as it's too sweet but the cake part is amazing. ~LA

can i be eating too few calories?

I have never counted calories and wouldn't worry about that part but like most others have responded you really need more Protein otherwise you will lose muscle mass and that is definitely not what you want. I know it's hard in the begging but eating just twice a day isn't enough. See if you could get another Protein shake in and then in the future try to add in regular food sources of protein. Even if your not hungry. Eating is fuel for you body now. And remember no one is perfect all the time. This is a journey. Try your best ~LA

    Weird Thing Happening!

I laugh because I remember when I never wanted to wash my jeans because they would be to tight and now I am washing them in hot Water. It's so much more important to me how my clothes fit than what the scale says. ~LA

    Multivitamin Nausea

I had the same issue and my nutritionist switched me to this Vitamin and I haven't had any issues. It's called Rainbow Light 50 plus mini tablet. You can order from Amazon. I take 2 in the morning and then another later in the day. Never once has it made me sick. And I of course I bought a ton of the Vitamins at the surgeons office before I knew they would make me sick. I should really give them away. ~LA Good luck

Gastric Sleeve and E. Coli :)

I would have done anything I could to feel better if I was that sick. If you didn't eat what you did you might have gotten worse and then a slippery slope to get back to healthy. Sorry that you got the bug. ~LA
