I just had my 6 month post op lab done and strangely enough my blood sugar has gone from the 70's up to 114 (fasting) and my Liver enzymes (primarily the Ferritin) is way high. This scares the heck out of me. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? And by the way, I do not have a gallbladder so that is not the reason for my liver enzymes going up

Please be aware, regardless of what dose of Biotin you are taking, it does NOT keep hair from falling out. However, it promotes hair regeneration or in other words, growth of new hair. I am 3 months out and have been losing hair for 1 to 2 months now.

You are assuming that you will need something for pain. I didn't need anything for pain past the actual day of surgery. Surgery was a breeze

Oh i so know what you are going through. I hit a 3 week stall at 2 weeks post op. This is very common. I am exactly 3 months post op and have lost 55 pounds. I have trouble getting all of my protein and water in. My skin is dry, my hair is coming out and i am having trouble with constipation. But with all of that being said, 55 pounds is amazing in 3 months. I promise you it will get better. I think once your constipation is resolved, a lot of the other issues you mentioned will resolve as well. Drink 1 capful of Miralax daily in 8 ounces of fluid. Your constipation will improve, your stall will break and your tummy will allow you to eat and drink what you need to to meet your protein and water goals. Smile, it gets better, I promise! I know from experience. Smile!!!

I am just shy of 3 months out of VSG. 54 pounds down so far. I started losing a significant amount of hair at 6 weeks post op and still losing alot of hair. Taking 5mg of Bariatric Advantage Biotin. Hair loss is very distressing to me. Will the hair loss slow down?

Its called constipation with diarrhea overflow. There is alot of information on it online. I work for a gastroenterologist so this is a phenomenon that we have to explain often! Good luck

I am new to this forum but it looks like it is going to be the answer to all of my questions. I am about 7 weeks post gastric sleeve. I am having the following problems that I need help with. I cannot seem to get but about 50 ounces of water in per day ( I always feel so full and it takes me FOREVER to drink 1 bottle), getting my protein in has been a huge issue and i cannot stand the taste of the unflavored Unjury protein powder, I seem very constipated and my latest issue has been irregularity in what once was a normal and very regular period. Are these complaints normal and will these problems improve? I have lost 40 pounds in the last 7 weeks
