Hi there, im a newbie and was hoping to find a few people in the area or that was familiar with dr paragi. He is affiliated with st barnabas hospital in livingston nj. I noticed that requirements vary from dr to dr and really wanted to get a better understanding of my road ahead. For example some dr.'s dont require a gastric emptying test but apparently mine does. I dont have a date yet im pretty much at middle stage, I guess anyway. I dont have much support so im a little lonely. Even if you're not a patient of his any info would be greatly appreciated. Surgery tomorrow, omg!!! I dnt even know how to feel....is that weird? Im happy, scared, nervous, excited all at once. O, lets not forget hungry. Only clear liquids today

O wow! Sorry your going thru that. Im not sure what I'm gonna do at my job after my surgery, I'm not telling anyone there. I have a really short fuse when it comes to my personal life so after I lose weight I hope and pray I dont have the same problem. Its terrible people can't just be happy for anyother person. Welp all I can say is try to take it as a compliment right now. They are obviously your biggest fan if they cant seem to keep your name out of there mouth. Be strong and enjoy your new body you deserve it!!

How long does it take for them to get back to you with an answer? Im gonna fill out the application tomorrow. Anyone have any luck with horizon blue cross blue shield?

Im pre-op as well! Surgery is sept 8 super excited and nervous!!

The only ones I can tolerate so far are apple melon and coconut. I just brought a bottle of pineapple orange banana so we'll see how that goes. I cant seem to keep down the milk shake kind of any protein drink and im still in the pre op phase

@Jennifer02188 I so hope ur right girlfriend. I brought gas-x chewables and strips already (they were on sale and I had a coupon lol). I go back to see Dr. Paragi on Christmas eve so I hope I get a date then. I have blue cross blue shield. Are u on the liquid diet yet? How long would he have us on it? Man...I dnt know how im gonna act at that point smh, my poor family lol

@@Shell88 u are dead on with that hahaha! I stopped goin early because they always took me in about half hr late smh. The numbers are my old phone number...apparently this app wouldn't let me use just new me lol. So u have a date? Whats with this gastric emptying test anyway? I still need ugi series and abdominal ultra sound

@@Jennifer02188 yes he's always very pleasant. My last visit I spoke with a lady that had her surgery about 2 months prior, she said she had alot of gas pain and was suffering from constipation but overall not a bad experience and she loved Dr. Paragi. Boy...I hope I get a date in Jan with u! I still need a couple more tests done at acc but they're all within these first couple weeks. I noticed not all dr.s require the same tests also

@@Shell88 he seems ok right now however the office is kinda unorganized and are usually running behind schedule. Newme is the new me that I cant wait to meet! Its been a struggle with my weight for yrs. How's ur experience with Dr. Paragi so far? Do u have a date?

Hi there @@Shell88 and @Jennifer02188! Dr. Paragi is my surgeon also, dont have a date yet tho Im hoping for Jan tho. So glad I found some folks on here with the same surgeon
