Since being diagnosed w diabetes 2 I drink about 62-84 oz of water a day n about 2-4 cups of herbal tea. Will I have trouble drinking after surgery? I gave up coffee years ago n don't drink alcohol cuz gives me hot flashes. Also does everyone get cold cuz I have window open wear tea shirts all year round. Guess losing fluff n lowering blood pressure will change things. Maybe next winter?? Surgery target Feb. Oh so ready!!

I am excited getting closer to my surgery target date, Feb, my Valentine's gift to me n my son n husband. I still have more tests etc but am I the only one that wants to French Kiss her fav food goodbye? I m happy to say I am eating less now than ever n few things I did have like Blimpies n Wendy's were gross. But still will miss prime rib, BAKED potatoes, French bread n hot, buttered movie popcorn!

I was surprised to learn that people who have had surgery suffer from back n hip pain due to rapid weight loss. I was stunned since this is one of my reasons for surgery. How long did it take body to adjust n pain subside? I have bad sciatica n herniated disks for over 29 yrs n cortisone injections just don't last as long n pain prevents me from walking far etc. Thanx for feedback

How many weeks did u have to see nut before surgery. I know need to learn to eat healthier but honestly, want few more rolls before off limits forever!

I haven't owned a scale in over 15 yrs. Any suggestions?

I have been wearing shapeless clothes for so many years n had to work for a week at office. All I wore was one pair of sneakers cuz didn't want to go out. My bff suggested men's shoes n got the MOST comfortable Sketchers w memory foam in men's. What a crock! Women's socks n shoes suck! Men have the BEST socks n most comfy shoes n can't even tell. Another injustice! Lol

I'm 5'6" 290 5x in Walmart shirts, too many chins n jowls, n fekkin kangaroo pouch! Yes I m doing it for health reasons but bending to tie my shoes wo cutting off air supply wud be amazing!

Lipstick Lady thank you so much for sharing your experience. I m French n while I understand little or no French bread, pasta n rice low-fat cheese n even worse to me is cottage cheese which I have always thot looks like baby puke! I have become a gastric forum junkie! I want to read everyone's experience, fears, triumphs. I knew duh I was fluffy but when I saw a photo from the side! Holy crap. Then I did bmi n found out I was morbidly obese. Hello...first part is morbid! I was freaked into thinking I was going to die if I don't do something soon. Been yo yo dieting for over 40 yrs n my family has all passed n want to be around for my 13 yr old. I will b damned if I die early if I cud have helped it n let his dad raise him. I went to back to school nite n was so wiped out from just doing my son's schedule. My fiance who has no cartilage in his knees even walked faster. Hopefully next year I will zip thru the halls!

Has anyone we had Ultra Meal? It has 15g of protein. Is that good? I have used these powders before n r filling. If these are allowed I'm good. Waiting till Jan to see nut. Going to see gastro n still need as sleep apnea test etc. Got sick w bronchitis n messed up my schedule. Hope I have enough time to complete everything. I know do my best n give up to God, I only have so much control.

Thanx for all the replies. I m so excited n reading posts from this n Facebook support groups are just great. I was going to invent a scarf to hide double chins but have too many hot flashes! Hopefully will get approved for Feb so I will b better for son's confirmation.
